  1. Mercy y'all are doing so much better than me! I need daily meal plans from y'all. I had my surgery in another city and no NUT so I am winging it.

    Surgery date Dec. 18

    SW- 248

    CW- 222

    26 lbs down

You're doing great. Keep it all in perspective of positive ( but I honestly realize its tough at times). The way I look at it everyday now is better than my days before when it comes to eating and taking care of me.

    Typical day for me:

Breakfast - hot tea with 1tsp honey

A boiled egg, 1/4 cup oatmeal or a strawberry lean Protein shake.

    lunch

2.5 oz tunafish, 1tsp lowfat mayo, 4 slices pickled beets

    snack

Lowfat/high Protein yogurt or 100 calorie LF cottage cheese

    dinner

3oz fish with some kind of vegetable

    Night snack

    Hot tea with 1tsp honey

MY MAJOR struggle is lack of Fluid intake. A good day 40oz. Today my BP was too low and my doc said it was due to my lack of Fluid intake ..

How many grams of protein are you averaging daily?

  2. This is a great topic for discussion and one that has been asked a few times so we know it really is an "issue". I am a private person and don't feel the need to share my medical information with others. I have included my husband and my daughter into my "circle of trust" and I have told a bit to my best friend who lives 1000 miles away. Ive not told any of my family members (parents, siblings, nieces, nephews) and I haven't told anybody that I work with. I am not ashamed. In fact I am excited and overjoyed at this opportunity which will take place a week from Monday.(Feb 10th yayyy) I know too many people that will say negative comments and I don't wish to hear any of those comments. Also, I don't want to be the subject of conversation for others that don't have anything better to talk about. Regardless of how kind and supportive people can be to our face, they will use our situation as topic of conversation with others. I hate gossip and don't want to be involved with it. Now, if people wish to talk about me when I'm thin and hot... well, that's another story. lol

Circle of trust. :D I like that...isn't that from Meet the Fockers?

Whenever this topic comes up I always think to myself...you can't unring a bell.

  3. Congrats! Keep positive it's the best journey imaginable! Three and a half months out and down over 90 pounds! Keep us updated! ;-)

That's awesome!!! I want to have your stats but I don't imagine I'll be losing 50 lbs in the next 6 weeks. :) Hey a girl can dream. Men lose faster anyway...

  4. My restriction was not lifting/carrying my 26 pound 6-month-old for three weeks (nothing above 20 pounds). I could hold him if someone handed him to me, just not lift or carry. I was able to get some help in the first several days, but by the two-week mark, I had no help and no choice. I didn't carry him in his car seat, and only carried him when I absolutely had to.

God bless you...a 26 pound 6 month old?!? :) I love a nice "fluffy" baby!
