Thanks everyone for posting. I have chosen Dr. Ariel Ortiz. I am havingsurgery on March 26 or 27. I am very excited. I researched a ton and found Dr. Ortiz to be the best surgeon anywhere including here in the states. He has proctored many other physicians here in the US. Hi I use Andrew Lessmans secure on HSN they have 25 gram of soy protein and are only 70 calories they have different flavors to choose from and they are on special now.

Has anyone tried Andrew Lessman's secure protein drink it has 70 calories and 25 grams of soy protein. I like the chocolate and vanilla but there is a coffee one and peanut butter and a tropical.

Hi I 'm Queenie I am being banded March 27 and I have a party the week before surgery. Can I drink or is this definately a no no? thanks

Hi I have talked to Trinity Bariatrics in Moline and they told me as long as I have my medical records and a letter from my Doctor (ortiz) then they should be able to see me in the office there. The head of Bariatrics told me they would probably just charge an office visit with a small fee for fill. I hope this is true it will be great for me. I think this also might be closer to you. Hi every Doctor is different mine says 7 days ahead just 3 protein shakes a day. Or two weeks ahead 2 protein shakes and a lean cusine. By losing weight this helps to shrink your liver for surgery some doctors won't do if you haven't lost wt. Good luck Call your dr. if you have question. Queenie

HI to all. I have researched for over a year on this board and others and so many people have helped me through out. I would like thank everyone who have responded and helped me along the way. I am having my surgery in Tiajuana on March 27 by Dr. Ortiz. I have done tons of investigating and have found him to be the most reknowned surgeon around. I can't wait.
