  1. Am I wrong? For thinking that we could be something for real?

If you have to stress out over it so much and overthink it then most likely.

I take Prilosec daily. Night and day difference without it.

  3. Whoa! Whooshed right past 250 last night. I had stalled for so long and now in the last couple of weeks I've lost over 10 pounds. My body is still very sore from working out but I am still going out on a long hike today through the North Georgia Mountains.

Thanks everyone. Training for this 10k has really motivated me to finish this last stretch out strong. I have about 19 more pounds till I reach goal weight.

  4. Baby food spoon... Yes? No?

Yeah I used small spoons to eat for the first few months. It just helped me slow down because I eat so fast.

  5. The weather was nice enough to hike yesterday. It was amazing outside, hiking up the side if that mountain. I got to the top, made a renewed commitment to my health and hiked the whole thing again. I wasn't tired or worn out... I was healing and for that I am grateful.

I am fortunate enough to have a ton of hiking places in Atlanta. It warmed up finally to about 65 degrees, perfect hiking weather.

  6. 6 months in and 105 pounds down. At 255 pounds I am now officially the smallest I have ever been in my entire adult life and I'm 34. I think maybe I was at 255 when I was 15 but only very briefly. That's pretty awesome.

Thank you guys so much. This journey, albeit not over yet, has been amazing and part of that success has a lot to do with the awesome people on these boards. You inspire me to do better. Thank you all.

  7. I am 4 pounds away from a 100 pound loss. I'll take 100 pounds in 5 months!

  8. Got my stress test report back. Doesn't look like anything significant other then I am very, very, very out of shape. Not even sure where to start trying to get my endurance back.

One foot in front of the other. Maybe look into getting one of these: http://alturl.com/tnbr6 and start with small daily goals, like walking 1000 steps. Then every week up it some more and more until you get to 10,000 steps per day.

  9. 3x5 eating is rather...interesting. It's not helping my hunger though.

  10. Finally broke the 270's! Man that stall lasted a while and I do not know how I did it since yesterday. Being snowed in only afforded me to eat junk and processed garbage but I still managed to lose 2 pounds last night. My body is so weird sometimes.

  11. Hearing all the suggestions about taking PPI's as a post-op because acid feels like hunger makes me wonder if trying it as a pre-op would help.

I have to take one every day because if I don't I get bad reflux. Just an over the counter Prilosec works fine.

  12. Donating Clothes to charity has helped me see just how much i have lost... trying on old pants over the pants i already have on and still having room feels amazing!

I know how you feel. I went through my closet Sunday and got rid of 4 huge bags full of clothes that we're too big. It was cathartic and very symbolic. I drove away knowing that part of my life was over and it was time to forgive myself and move on to the next stage in this journey.

Yup, you're right on track buddy. It was about 2 weeks for me as well. I battled the sudden change. I grieved the old me because I could no longer user food as a crutch. It was quite sobering.
