BayshoreBuddy got a reaction from CarryOn7 in Week 2 Post-Op
Congratulations on Phase II; the secret of success is plenty of protein and water. It sounds like you have a solid grip on your puree diet. Hmmmm...Hummas, sounds interesting, I will have to try some.

The funny thing is that since I was cleared for the puree diet, I have kept favorites from my 2 week liquid diet - V8 - yogurt - soups - applesauce - etc. being my go-to favorites along with Premier Protein shakes and Ice water cut with 50% filtered water (tap water in NJ is the pits)...
I guess we find foods that we like and discard the losers (UNjury products w/undertaste).

OH NO!!!! I have the same likes and this is bad news! Cottage cheese is now styrofoam - grapes are nahh - not tomatoes? My only hope is that my chocolate premier protein drinks are still OK.
I don't dare ask about oatmeal or eggs and bananas. As for Ice Cream, I already wrote that one off my preferred list months ago. However; I totally agree with your saying that " I eat to live, and I am not living to eat!" Same here! Have a fantastic week and please post any new favorites that come along....

Thanks for posting your day-4 post-op update. I plan on doing the 8oz./hr. shake routine and have Unjury chicken and WonderSlim chicken soups to balance out the shakes. I also have the Unjury unflavored to boost over the counter diet foods and supercharge sugar-free Jello. DietController software is my food/nutritional log that I use as my diet speedometer and keep track of what I am eating and managing my protein drinks.
Thanks again and please keep posting updates because they help pre and post surgery bloggers. Have a great Labor Day but avoid the BBQ!

I wish I had read this yesterday! Congrats! I'm a week post op tomorrow and I'm surprised that the healing process is as good as it is! The first 3 days are not the funnest! Walk Walk Walk! I had gas pains in my left shoulder - cried over that. Was afraid I'd tear my stomach up by getting up and walking but WOW here I am today no tears and very little pain! You got this! Think positive thoughts! I keep fantasizing about shopping for new clothes and a new style! I can't wait to show up to work in a suit just to throw them off! Picking out those beautiful sweaters for winter here I come! I cleared my closet out so I gotta shop soon!
