  5. Yes I have to do one that's on Dec16/13 this is my 5th month, and although I am exercising everyday I have lost some weight but I think it should have been more but that's is the main reason I need this surgery. By the way can you explain what your class covered?
  6. Yes this is normal, my husband does not want me to have surgery either because I am doing so good with void management and my weight now, but he is supportive because he understands this is something that I want and I want to be healthier and off diabetic medications and high blood pressure meds .your husband loves you , and I am sure he wants nothing but the best for you.

  11. Mmrennau I respectfully disagree a husband input and a boyfriends input is different, your husband suppose to love you unconditionally , your boyfriend doesn't .
  12. Hang in there you are loss weight and we can see it, just remember although you may not feel like you are , there is a difference in your body form and arms. dont be so hard on yourself.

  14. I honestly believe that you should be making this choice to better your health, and yourself no one else, I do not mean to be rude but he is your boyfriend not your husband. Make your choice in the best interest of you, not to please him, keep him or anything, but for you, ask yourself will this surgery improved your quality of life, because your boyfriend may stay or he may leave. You must make the choice to decide to be a healthier you for you and no one else. Good luck and the best of wishes.
  15. I will be in my 5 month weight management next month, and I am so excited and woundering what to expect when I meet the doctor, this is my first time meeting them .

  17. I was told my my psychologist to write everything down as well as exercise this has help me a lot because I don't have to sugarcoat anything, I can get my frustrations out and I do not have to hurt anyone's feelings . Then when I'm calm I can address those issues in a positive way .
  18. Purplefaery you are right about learning a lot about yourself and cravings I now walk every day for at least 40 to 60 minutes, as well as make better choices to what I eat and why I eat it, these times are excellent in preparing you for your pre-surgery you. Although I didn't like it I am entering my 5 month in two weeks and I am looking forward to walking it down. I have been trying different protein shakes but don't want to get fixated on one since everyone says your taste buds changed. Hey you began trying any protein shakes ? I have bought a canister of unjury .

  22. You must not be so hard on yourself, we all have made poor choices in our life but you are on your way when you made the choice to become healthy, although this is a tough and emotional time for you I want you to remember one thing, you are LOVED take one day at a time and do not focus on the exact surgery date. Give your self credit for making good choices when you choose your meals and remember that you are working toward a healthier you. If your family members and friend are not supportive , we are here for you. I also suggest that you get a journal and start writing your feelings down, this has help me prepare for my impending surgery. I have to do a 6 month weight management, and I am in month 4. You are stronger and braver then you think. Anytime you need to talk we are here or you can email me. I look forward to your post, vents, as well as high and lows.
