  1. Great ideas, I start on Pureed in one week. Thanks!!!
  2. I had my band removed and was sleeved last Monday 9/9 all at the same time. I had been unfilled for quite awhile due to complications. I'm doing great! I feel good, have had no complications, only taking pain meds once a day. Slowly easing back to light daily chores and looking forward to life with the sleeve and not the band. Stay positive!!! Best wishes!!
  3. I had surgery on 9/9. Your list looks good. My doc would not let me use the Gas X strips in the hospital. The squishy pillow was a life saver but they gave me one in recovery room. Good list ...good luck and speedy recovery !!!!!
  4. I was also sleeved on 9/9 and have not had any reflux. Dr. has me on liquid Zantac daily.
  5. I was sleeved on Monday 9/9, came home yesterday! On full liquids. Doing good at getting in fld but not the cream soups or yogurt, only able to do one of the 2 tbsp. Drinking chocolate Shakeology with skim milk for my protein shake which one 8 oz shake comes to 25 grams of protein. Immediately after surgery I had severe nausea but that subsided with meds about 4 hrs post op.. Had a little nausea today but took a Zofran. Pain has been very manageable which has really surprised me and so far I'm Taking only 2 doses of pain meds a day. I walked around the house today and also to the end of my drive and back then unloaded and loaded the dishwasher and I was tired . I feel like I am doing well with a good recovery. One thing to mention is I gained 8 pounds since surgery being pumped with all the fluids, that was kind of hard to take but as of this morning had already lost 5 of that. My stats are below: Please share how the rest of you are doing! Highest wt-271 Wt before pre-op diet: 268.2 Surgery day: 257 4 days post op-259
  6. Good luck this morning....on my way !!

  8. SO awesome, you look great! Way to go....any lessons learned or words of wisdom that would be great to pass on. I will be sleeved on 9/9!
  9. Thanks Karen, just had my last office visit with the surgeon today before surgery on 9/9. I needed to hear this!
  10. I am also scheduled for 9/9. I had a very bad headache yesterday and tried some warm broth and it helped. Not sure if it was the warmth but I'll take it. FYI..the broth was Swanson-Mexican Tortilla soup-infused broth. Nice change from plain broth! Good luck!

  19. I am curious why you are not allowed any Unjury products the 1st week...
  20. I am having the revision in one surgery. I do feel different about things this time. I feel more motivated, informed and knowledgeable. Thanks!
  21. So excited!! Just received call from my coordinator that my insurance has approved my revision. I was banded in 2005 and after losing some weight initially (never really finding the 'sweet spot'); I started having terrible issues with reflux and vomiting but no slip. When MD took the fluid out the vomiting and reflux almost stopped. I left the fluid out and we tried to fill again with smaller than average amounts and had almost immediate reflux. I have not had any fluid for the past 2 years and the weight has come back plus 10 additional pounds. I am looking forward to this life change with the sleeve as my guide. I am a lover of jogging but have not done so in the last 2 years; can't wait to get back to it.. My only fear and I have to find a way to get through this fear is that because things failed with the band they will fail with the sleeve. This is the only negative thought I am having after my uplifting phone call today. How do I get over this?
