  1. I have IH and that was required. However after I had gone 2 times already Missy told me that I could see if my MD would write a statement about how weight loss and ways of trying had been discussed for at least 6 mos worth. Mabye try that?
  2. Congrats to you!! I was lucky not to have much gas pain, just in my left shoulder. The nurses at sisters are so nice. I had young male nurses at times lol. It'll continue to get better every day. By the end of the week it felt like I never had any surgery. The gurgles won't stop they haven't for me. Its a sign that your tummy is full. I also get what I call inny burps lol. I'm glad you're doing ok
  3. Lol I have to throw in my 2 cents as well. I could not believe the kind of questions that they ask on the 300 something questionaire! Some were very irrelevant to one's life. I can understand why the evals are needed but its such a loophole to become healthy again.
  4. I too have been on a stall for 2+weeks. I almost wonder if it's because our bodies are not only adjusting but building muscle therefore the reason for the lost inches?
  5. How do you make a smoothie with them? I'm so bad at making them lol
  6. I'm trying to slow down the days before I have to return lol. I went to my support group tonight and enjoyed it.
  7. Yay! The pre-op testing was really quick for me. I was in and out within and hour. Do you have to have a chest xray done too?
  8. Hmmm...I might try. It depends on when my hubby gets home from work. I'll let you know.
  9. When I get threw up my stomach felt like it was being ripped out as well...but don't worry its still there and I'm still alive lol. Didnt take long to get over it
  10. I threw up for the first time today...augh! I think I over did it with my 5 spoonfuls of peas and then on top of it I had 2 tums. My tummy did not like it and it was not a pleasant experience to say the least :-X
  11. That's great news! At the pre-op class they'll talk about what to expect with surgery and go over the pre-op diet. They'll also give you resistance bands and show you how you'll be using them. You'll get more info to add to that black folder.
  12. I can't seem to get into that website. I'll ask Jill. She's coming over soon to drop something off. Hmmm.....
  13. Thanks I actually just lost 5 more lbs.! I've also been trying more solid food as per Dr. Caruana's instructions. I've started eating tuna with a little mayo, chicken out of the can, the nectar drinks (found a great website for yummy recipes). Were actually allowed to try things as we progress based on our comfort level. They don't have any strict guidelines as to what to eat week to week. I will try going to that new Buffalo website. Thats a good idea.
  14. Lol I'm getting addicted to wanting to walk everyday and except for yesterday I haven't been taking any naps. Today I went out to garden although my tummy was alittle sore afterwards. I'm glad to hear your dinner went well.
  15. I was sleeved on 8/5 and have since lost 24 lbs. (Including pre-op diet). My bp has decreased too and I feel better. I'm noticing it in my face and the way my clothes fit and my hubby says my butt looks better lol. I'm trying to walk everday for 20 minutes or at least 10. Good luck to everyone!
