  2. Tomorrow I am six weeks post-op and I have a stitch trying to come out of my skin about a half inch below my incision. Has anyone else had this happen?
  3. "Ocean Potion" makes a great 100 % aloe gel, Walmart used to carry it, but it is hard to find there anymore. I did find it at Amazon and order it there now. It is the best stuff I love it!
  4. I have always used 100 % Aloe Vera Gel intsead of lotion, even on my face. It is a bit sticky until it dries but it makes my skin very soft and healthy. I also use it around and on my incision scars and it has helped with healing and is very soothing. Great Stuff!
  5. Congrats! I am four weeks post-op exactly today. I am feeling so good and no problems. Should have done this years ago!
  6. I know when my kids were sick I bought http://pedialyte.com/ to keep them well hydrated, they also make popsicles and they were good. Of course check with your nut first but maybe they will help you. Best of luck!
  7. I will be four weeks post op tomorrow, and go in for my four week check up. I am 53 and always was overweight and healthy. Then with age joint pains, high BP, Pre Diabetic. I am doing very well! The only thing I would do different is I wish I had the surgery years ago. First week was hard but my husband and pain pills made it ok. I am a private person also and told very few people. This is a tuff journey and I needed nothing negative in my mind. BTW.... 37 pounds down feeling great! I wish you all the best!

  9. I was allowed very runny cream of wheat and oatmeal and just a little bit was very filling and took my hunger away. Always ask your doctor or nut first. Your stomach is healing and you DO NOT want a leak! Best of luck to you. Sleeved 8/26/13.

  14. Protein drinks will make you feel better and heal well. Protein is very important! Not just so you dont lose muscle mass but because you need to heal. I went off protein for 2 days one week after my surgery and I felt horrible! I went back on it and I feell much better and began to heal faster too. I am 3 weeks and 2 days out 32 pounds down. but just going slowly now with soft foods, I make sure i get the protein in first though. I wish you luck
