  6. My husband always gets me a birthday cake of my choice. Today is my birthday and I was feeling a liitle low about no cake But he bought me a very nice veggie tray, and some lovely perfume! What good man he is!

  9. I found this to be very private and hard to talk about, did not even tell my Dr. I am 7 weeks post op 45 pounds down and I no longer have that issue. Very happy....NSV I guess
  10. I don't know but I have lost 45 pounds since surgery, I am at seven and a half weeks out and I have lost nothing for a week. I think I will walk some today

  12. Drinking can also cause the food you eat to swell and cause pain and possibly a leak in the early stages. That is what my Dr. said. I did it once and never again. OUCHIE!

  14. Six weeks out here...This too shall pass, I was swollen too. It does get better! Lots of protein to help heal.
  15. Isopure is a clear liquid protein drink. I do not like any of the flavors, but many people on this site do. Maybe try that?
  16. When you are allowed...Warm cream of wheat was really soothing just go slow, wait at least one minute after each small bite. An electric coffee cup warmer will keep it nice and warm for you.
  17. Call your Dr. I was able to drink protein drinks my second day after surgery. They gave them to me at the hospital.

  19. Call your Dr. and be sure to drink plenty and get in that protein you need it to feel well and to heal. I wish you well.

  21. I don't because Medicare paid for mine. But if you email his office they can tell you. They did everything for me. I did not talk to my ins once they did it all!
