After Surgery

How much time did you take off for surgery? I initially took a week, went back to work for 3 days and then decided I need another week. Is that normal?

Im off until the 14th. I could have gone back Tues but decided not to push it. Incisions still little sore and I get paid for being off so taking advantage of it

My insurance allows for short term disability so my first week is pto and two weeks after the short term covers. my hospital would only allow four weeks off total for sleeve. So I'm taking 3weeks to get myself mentally and physically ready to go back

I think it just depends on how well you are feeling :)

I have used up all of my days so I am not getting paid but my job is stressful and I think I should just rest.

I was off for 9 days and needed every minute of it. :-) But I was in a lot of pain. I've seen people post that their recovery was so easy they were back at work in 3 days. So with no complications, it's normal to take between 3 days and 2 weeks off from work for recovery post-op.

I'm one month post op, and still off. Im having slight complications with nausea though :/ Hoping to feel well enough to go back in 2 weeks (thinking by then I should be ok). I also have to lift things during work so the dr. told me 6 weeks off the bat.

I took off for 2 weeks. Today is my first day back. just have to make sure you take it easy
