IT'S NOT HEALTHY! IT'S JUNK!
Wow everyone has made valid points. The point I would like to make is that we have to encourage moderation. Not all of us will have children that will grow up to be obese but some will because of genetics, and some may simply just fall in love in with food just like we did. As a child I had no one to push moderation to me,and even as an adult there are and have been some food and drinks that I simply just could not have 1 of. I never did understand the amount or the access that I had to these foods would play a huge role in my life. We live in a time now were some people judge us based off what they see and know. I think if we just spend more time in teaching moderation there's nothing wrong with having a snack or 2. I wish I was able to go back and change so much in my childhood that may have helped me to this day.

You will do great, you are on the right path just keep that mindset and you will reach your goal in no time. As far as everyone else you said it best its your body not theirs. No one fights the struggles and goes through the lives we do a daily bases. It's all about being healthy and your doing the right choice for you.

Wow 71 pounds gone in 2 months post op
Thank you for pointing out that its not all about pounds that we see coming off but it is also about inches and our health. The biggest selling point of course is how much weight will I loose or how fast will it come off but we just don't know until we get in there and start our journeys. I wish the very best for everyone. We are all in this together.

You shouldn't feel embarrassed loosing slow doesn't mean your doing anything wrong it's just our body's and how they react. I know how you feel but my biggest problem is fear that since I'm loosing I may gain it all back because I have always had good results with loosing weight none in keeping it off. I'm just doing my best and my body is doing the rest. Please don't give up and keep at it.

You are right our body's are so different, and medical conditions as well. I'm 35 years old and had a lot of successful weight loss journeys but I could never keep it off. I'm praying and trying my best to ensure that I don't gain back any of the weight I have lost. The major difference with the sleeve is my portions are under control and I don't have that inside struggle to keep overeating. Its really hard because I have been an emotional eater and now I work out all my problems instead of eating them away like before. It's amazing how after only 8 weeks my lifestyle has changed by fixing a few behavioral problems. God is good.

As far as my diet goes I work deep nights 12 hour shifts so my food choices aren't the regular ones. I will eat a lot of protein through out the night while I'm working. I may bake pork chops or chicken and I take it to work for the next 3 days, and eat off that until I'm done. I will make a side, just what ever I want sometimes it may be potato salad with more protein in it. Some times for snacks I will eat the special K chips or the Quaker popped rice snacks. I still eat pizza either home made or from dominoes my favorite. I don't have the healthiest meals I know but at most meals I can't even finish a whole slice of pizza, I can't eat more than 2 hot wings , when I eat my meals I take weekly, I don't even eat the whole piece of meat in one setting it takes me all night to finish out a couple of pieces. When I eat my sides its a couple spoonfuls. I have no secret except that I'm just eating what I want and smaller portions of it. I have still had days or weeks of stalls. I believe my body gets all the credit here . I know my results aren't typical but at least 32 of the pounds I lost were in pre op diet stage. So if you are feeling down or bad about your loss don't because our body's are so different. At work I stay very active and I'm doing a lot of walking, and it appears to help out a lot. I know I need to get back in to the gym to keep my muscles strong but memberships are very expensive these days so I'm waiting on that. Just like everyone I have always had a weight problem and I have struggled with every type of diet , exercise program, you name it I was a pro at it but I couldn't keep the weight off. I lost weight fast then only to fail months or years later. I'm not sure if this time will be permanent or better than before. I'm praying that everything works out for myself and everyone of you that fight this war everyday with me. All praise to God for keeping us strong during our times of need. If I could wave a magic wand we would all be healthy. So please keep trying your hardest and don't give up. Thank you everyone for all your support.- 5 weeks out evil pizza
I eat pizza and have been sleeved for 2 months as long as you don't eat it everyday think you will be fine, don't be so hard on yourself for an occasional slice or two moderation is key.- Wow 71 pounds gone in 2 months post op
To be honest whatever I want and not a lot of it.... I haven't been in the gym much. I eat what I want but very small amounts and I eat about every 3 to 4 hours.- Wow 71 pounds gone in 2 months post op

Hi . I'm in Lewisville. I'm about 2 months out. What hospital did you have your sleeve performed at ?- Is 185 a good weight
Thanks, did you work out a lot during your periods of rapid weight loss. I do a lot of walking right now but I'm trying to get back in the gym when I can afford to do so.- Is 185 a good weight
I feel the same way as you did before you reached your goals. I can't see myself reaching that goal to be 180 yet. I'm doing my best to stay active and keep myself busy to keep from gaining weight but old injuries are starting to ache and I do feel like at times I'm in pain. I'm not sure what my future weight will end up at but I'm pushing for 200 right now. Hopefully I will reach that goal in the next 4 months and then aim for 185. Thanks.- Why Is It That As Human's We Never Seem To Be Satified?
It's just a part of being human. I do the same things to myself, We know ourselves better than anyone and it takes time to be happy with ourselves. Just try and remember all your positive accomplishments and not let the fact that a few numbers on a scale ruin your entire weight loss journey. A 110 lbs is not easy to lose at all. Your doing great, and looking good just go easy on yourself (:- How to say no
There is not one, its just self control here. The only option I could recommended is to find something to occupy your time then you may not want to eat. I know if I start talking to someone or doing something else I don't eat. I tend to have this problem when I get bored or tired . Good luck. - Wow 71 pounds gone in 2 months post op
