  1. Now I'm feeling like backing out of this surgery.... Why am I feeling like this? I was so anxious now I'm getting scared... My life will change forever :-(

Hi KeKe, I was feeling like this and the day of my surgery I was relieved and scared at the same time. My highest weight was 316 lbs I'm 35 years old and I have tried everything but surgery to loose weight, and even though my lifestyle is different I don't look back a single day . The sleeve is the best surgery I could have ever done. My wife had it as well and the smile and look on her face every time she talks to me,and the excitement she has now about going out with her friends makes me smile even more. I knew that if we both had the surgery we could share a closer bond than we had,and we do.... So sit back remain calm and get ready for the best lifestyle change you will ever make.

  2. Just wondering does anyone have any Tattoos to mark there weight loss journey? I know people get different tattoos to help guide them through life just curious if anyone has a tattoo(s) that help them remember how far they have come. So far I'm thinking about getting something any suggestions?

  3. I have known of sleeved patients drinking full liquids which would be Protein Shakes for 2 whole weeks and just be fine. I think they add a 3rd week just to be sure everything ges fine in your surgery. Don't stress when I had my surgery my surgeon told my wife my diet was excellent and I even altered my pre op diet. That last week is going to be teh hardest when you have a 3 week. I only had a 2 week. I lost 32 lbs on my pre op diet and a lot of my meals were Protein shakes, I was kind sick of food the texture was diifferent.

  4. Sounds like you are stressed and tired of eating hows everything else going for you? To be honest I have felt like this several times and had to force myself to eat. I would really get like this during week 3 and I always feel like I just ate a meal and sick after taking meds. Have you been sleeved or Lap band?

  5. You just have to give your body time. With loosing weight or trying to loose weight there is always the stalls and disapointment. This is not a race so just be patient and continue doing teh right things, when it happens you will be very happy. Some of us are slow losers and some are faster. Just be patient. I know its hard to do but you can do it.

  6. My stall was at 2 weeks and lasted a full 3 weeks! Then I literally lost 6lbs the next 2 days.

My stall is over ,and I really didn't do anything but walk and not a whole lot. I have lost 3 pounds in the last 4 days. It's not much but at least the pounds are coming off. I will be so glad when I'm like another 50 pounds down where I can really see a major difference. It seemed during pre op the weight just was falling off during those two weeks. After surgery it started coming off a lot slower for me. So don't give up if your in a stall it will soon pass.

  7. If you made it for 7 months these next 32.5 hours may seem like forever but you are almost there. I think if you have done what you needed to do thus far you will be fine. Just don't be so hard on yourself I had teh same worrys. I always thought that something was going to stop from me from getting my wls but I made it through and now I have to live with it. Just try to relax and do your best ,your almost there. :)

  8. Its not a dumb ? but to be honest I was in so much pain I didn't even want to talk let alone listen to music. The tv stayed on but it was watching me. The gas pains are bad but as soon as you can walk and you will feel much better. Keep us updated.

  9. Psychotherapy is best for us emotional eaters ,and just as others have said we didn't get this way over night. Depression and emotional eating have to be treated separate in order to be sucessful. So don't beat your self up just take it one goal at a time. No one said you have to have wls to loose 100 pounds by a certain date. This is not a race it is your life. So make better bad chocies if you can. I'm sure by now you probally feel better knowing that you are not alone. This is life its never going to be easy..... Take care and please keep us updated.

  10. I'm only 5 weeks out and in my first couple weeks I had a few cheats and stressors but I have gotten back on the wagon to making healthier choices. Don't feel bad about eating or sucking down a few MM's its just natrual after a surgery like this to want to test your limits. I'm sure others have done worse ,I know I did. I had the craziest thoughts after my surgery, even though I could see the scars I still thought that nothing was ever done. I kept telling myself this surgery is not going to work on me. A few weeks ago I was stressing pretty bad over things, and since then I have picked my pride back up ,and I continue to make better choices. Yes it is hard and doesn't really get easier when you are feeling down. If you are like me I have been an emotional eater my whole life everything was about food if I was happy, food if I was sad, had a bad day, food, and more food.... So don't think you are the only one with doubts, you are not alone. Just keep fighting the struggle and I'm sure you will love the results. So far with combined pre op and wls I'm down a total of 50 pounds. :)

  11. Im at a stall right now myself and it is driving me wild as well. Im eating less than 800 calories a day, I know I'm getting all my Protein in and I'm drinking lots of Water ,and approved Fluid. I'm 5 weeks out. I'm not feeling my best to work out yet. I tried a few nights ago and did about 30 minutes of various weights, and treadmill but felt like I was about to hit the floor. Had to leave. I know I'm not eating anything that I'm not suppose to because I don't eat much of anything it seems.
