    July sleevers please check in..

July 29 was my WLS date and including pre op I have lost 52 pounds. 32lbs on pre op the rest by sleeve. It's not a race don't give up.
  3. My stall is over ,and I really didn't do anything but walk and not a whole lot. I have lost 3 pounds in the last 4 days. It's not much but at least the pounds are coming off. I will be so glad when I'm like another 50 pounds down where I can really see a major difference. It seemed during pre op the weight just was falling off during those two weeks. After surgery it started coming off a lot slower for me. So don't give up if your in a stall it will soon pass.

I drink the muscle milk light when I do drink protein shakes and they are good for you better than the regular muscle milk because of the sugar.
  5. Come up with some questions and send tehm out. This way teh research has a method and a purpose.
  6. If you made it for 7 months these next 32.5 hours may seem like forever but you are almost there. I think if you have done what you needed to do thus far you will be fine. Just don't be so hard on yourself I had teh same worrys. I always thought that something was going to stop from me from getting my wls but I made it through and now I have to live with it. Just try to relax and do your best ,your almost there.

    Music?

Its not a dumb ? but to be honest I was in so much pain I didn't even want to talk let alone listen to music. The tv stayed on but it was watching me. The gas pains are bad but as soon as you can walk and you will feel much better. Keep us updated.
  8. Psychotherapy is best for us emotional eaters ,and just as others have said we didn't get this way over night. Depression and emotional eating have to be treated separate in order to be sucessful. So don't beat your self up just take it one goal at a time. No one said you have to have wls to loose 100 pounds by a certain date. This is not a race it is your life. So make better bad chocies if you can. I'm sure by now you probally feel better knowing that you are not alone. This is life its never going to be easy..... Take care and please keep us updated.

  11. I'm only 5 weeks out and in my first couple weeks I had a few cheats and stressors but I have gotten back on the wagon to making healthier choices. Don't feel bad about eating or sucking down a few MM's its just natrual after a surgery like this to want to test your limits. I'm sure others have done worse ,I know I did. I had the craziest thoughts after my surgery, even though I could see the scars I still thought that nothing was ever done. I kept telling myself this surgery is not going to work on me. A few weeks ago I was stressing pretty bad over things, and since then I have picked my pride back up ,and I continue to make better choices. Yes it is hard and doesn't really get easier when you are feeling down. If you are like me I have been an emotional eater my whole life everything was about food if I was happy, food if I was sad, had a bad day, food, and more food.... So don't think you are the only one with doubts, you are not alone. Just keep fighting the struggle and I'm sure you will love the results. So far with combined pre op and wls I'm down a total of 50 pounds.

    Manwich Meatballs

Wow, this sounds like my type of meal. I'm on my 5th week now and I'm so tired of eating eggs and tuna.......
  13. Im at a stall right now myself and it is driving me wild as well. Im eating less than 800 calories a day, I know I'm getting all my protein in and I'm drinking lots of water ,and approved fluid. I'm 5 weeks out. I'm not feeling my best to work out yet. I tried a few nights ago and did about 30 minutes of various weights, and treadmill but felt like I was about to hit the floor. Had to leave. I know I'm not eating anything that I'm not suppose to because I don't eat much of anything it seems.
  14. pre op I lost 32 lbs on my own and I have lost abound 20 lbs with my sleeve in about 3 weeks exactly from my surgery date.

    Mashes potatoes

Whatever your stomach can tolerate, I cheated in the beginning and I still find that no matter what my body knows when I'm ready for something or not. Just be comfortable .

    throat noises?

Same here and I'm only about 5 weeks out , I think its just gas it will probably go away with time.
  17. Took me a week to just lay on one side and a lot of pain went with it. About two weeks i I could tolerate it much better.

    be honest

Thank you to everyone, it seems our sleeves are life savers and changers. I used to work out all the time before i even thought about the surgery and I found that I did look better and at one point in my mid 20's I lost 94lbs by myself with diet and exercise, only to gain it all back less than 5 years later. At this point just about 5 weeks out I feel week and tired and not really motivated to do much. I have to return back to work this Sunday and I'm a bit nervous and ready. I don't look forward to getting back into a gym for quite awhile. I go for walks daily but at this point I'm just so worried that I may not loose the weight that I want to. In my own personal research I learned that I did have to eat more frequent to loose the weight. Lets face it after being sleeved we eat a few bites at times, and we feel full, and I don't want anymore to eat for quite some time. I'm doing my best to stay away from all the junk carbs I know if I start to eat candy or other fast food type stuff I'm just going to eat for the fun of it.

    be honest

I have heard this before, and my work shifts are 12 hours for 3 days then a 6 hour 1 day shift (TOTAL 40.00 MINUS lunch TIME) and includes a lot of walking and I just don't feel my best right now to hit the gym.

    be honest

I agree I'm so weak and tired and still in some pain. I can barley take meds without feeling sick . food makes me sad at times because I'm kind of worried am I eating enough and etc. Even though I'm eating what I'm suppose to I still feel as I'm not doing something right. I plan to hit the gym when I feel better but to be honest I'm still not in the best of health to do so.
  21. I'm almost 5 weeks out and can't work out until the full 5 weeks have passed. I have lost weight since pre op it has been really slow and I'm noticing I'm keeping a 2 pound difference of weight on me most of the time. I'm just wondering after my sleeve heals up and the swelling stops when can I expect to experience the most weight loss in my first year. To be truthful I may not be eating as much as I should and I get anxiety about the things I'm eating. I'm so tired of Powerade zero's and and crystal light at times doesn't really make me feel good after drinking it. To be honest even when I may nibble on some things I shouldn't be eating it doesn't taste good and I just try and stick with what I'm suppose to have but like most people carbs mess everything up for me. At times it seems like I'm going crazy because I had the surgery to assist me,and at 4 weeks and half I'm not feeling full as much as I used to. So after all my rants is there a certain time frame you can expect to see the most weight loss?
  22. I just need some support I'm not doing well this weekend I have been doing less than what is expected of me.... I have been so stressed this last 3 weeks and I had a crash of drinking a few beers so far tonight . I just need some support feeling like I'm just a mess up right now....
  23. No it just has a bad taste to it sometimes but is not really worth it
  24. Wish I could I'm 3weeks out and cooked 2 eggs added a lil cheese with a small bit of sourcream and i couldn't eat more than 3 bites and threw the rest out cause cold eggs are not good reheated to me.
