  1. Personally, the only person that knows about my surgery is my husband. My mother nor children know. I didn't want to hear speeches or make small talk around it. My mind was made up. I have told people that I had a hernia repaired. That would help to explain the stomach pain and loss of appetite. They go' oh ok then'....end of conversation. Sent from my i-tab using VST
  2. I cut them in half and take them with applesauce or pudding. I still take liquid hydrocodone for pain. Sent from my i-tab using VST
  3. My doc says that you have to swallow in small doses. That should help. Sent from my i-tab using VST

    Having regrets

I am three wks out and understand exactly how you feel. I went thru the "why did I do this" and thought that I made the biggest mistake but when I look at the scale and my clothes are fitting loosely, it all comes together. It is normal to feel the way you do......its just emotions. But believe me when I tell you that it WILL pass. You will look back and be amazed at how far you've come in such a short amount of time. Losing too fast?

Thanks! I hope I am getting in enough liquids. I don't feel dehydrated. Sent from my i-tab using VST
  7. I was 274 going into surgery on 7/29 and now I am 7 days post op and weigh in at 258. Is this the normal rate? Still not getting my full protein in but I do have an appetite. I am on full liquids/stage 1 baby foods. Anyone else experience a loss like that or is it because it is the first week?

    HELP!?

I also had surgery on the 29th and asking myself WTH did I do? I'm down 11lbs, no appetite, barely getting in protein, and the bathroom is my new best friend. The only meds I am taking are my liquid hydocodone and promethazine. Like everyone else said, the sf popsicles are great as you need hydration. The protien will come. You don't want to be in the hospital. I take small 1-2 hr naps and its ok. Don't worry about the weight. Are you in a rush? It will come off in due time. Afterwhile, we will both look back at this and laugh. Take care!
  9. Wow..I can only imagine.
  10. I was thin even after my kids, 5'8 150-160. Diagnosed with PCOS and the weight followed after. At age 30 I weighed 180. If I can get back to that, I will be most pleased.
  11. Surgery on Monday July 29th. Still sore and trying to get fluids down. Went to the bathroom and low and behold..a small BM. No shakes or food (just isopure) so I don't know where it came from. No meds to help out. Just automatic. Anybody else that lucky? Pre Surg: 274 Today: 268
