I just got my date, September 23!

I mean intake-wise.. I should be glad I can have vegetables now, after surgery we can have Clear Liquids Lol

they wanted to move me to sept 3rd but unfortunatly, that doesnt work for me workwise.. now I am september 23rd. My great grandmothers (she has since passed) birthday. She was my most favorite person in the entire world. This is a special gift for me on her special day.

My official date is September 10. I could have had it done in August but with my August being so crazy hectic September just worked better.I'm not scared of the surgery itself I'm more scared of failure. I'm scared that I'll have 85% of my stomach removed only to become obese again.

My boyfriend was totally for it! He watched me struggle after a 60lb weight loss that I did on my own; I just completely plateaued for a couple years after that. It may have had something to do with chronic sciatic nerve pain, but all that pain is GONE!
Some ppl will say it's extreme, but it's your life and your decision, and if they truly care, they should be supportive of whatever you decide ... regardless of their opinion.

My husband has always been fit and active. He works 10+ hours on his feet all day, just finished 3 seasons of ice hockey as captain, plays golf, and runs with the dogs. He's 6'1 and seems to have boundless energy. We have been together since we were 16 and now at 27 I am fortunate that he has loved me and accepted me even though I have doubled my weight. For the longest time, he was not supportive. He wasn't mean. He just told me to keep trying with diet and exercise. 4 years ago I considered RNY or lap band. He went to a seminar with me and came out of it even more against it. Since then I've gained 50 pounds. When I was diagnosed with PCOS I tried to explain to him that I needed help and all my doctors wanted me to have this surgery for my health and fertility. After all the ER visits, the D&C, the exploratory hysteroscopy, not being able to get pregnant, and my horrible body issues---he's on board. He told me the root of it all he was scared for me and didn't want anything to happen to me during major surgery. He also admitted he's never had a weight issue and doesn't understand why weight won't come off for everyone like it does for him.
But he's the only man in my life who knows---it has been a roller coaster--but I'm glad he eventually came around and saw the light!

Does anybody else here, besides me, think that pokey and big country are the same person?
I mean they are never on at the same time.
And she keeps posting his pictures and promoting him???

Monday is my surgery. When I was getting my EKG today for pre op the nurse asked me if I was getting the bypass and I said no I'm getting the sleeve she told me she had the bypass 2 years ago and I am making the best decision of my life. Se said she is so happy for me and she gave me a hug. It feels so good for other people to tell you about it. And damn. She had a nice looking body. It just reaffirms my decisions through and through. Omg the 9th here I come.

Come onnnn September 11th!!! 5 more days to go on my 3 week full liquid diet...My husband nuked frozen burritos for his dinner tonight (poor guy!) and I can honestly say that frozen burritos have NEVER smelled soooo good to me!!! :D

I found out the past few days why I haven't told to many people. I actually had someone whom I thought was a big help for me in the past tell me, I was taking the easy way out. I about wanted to burst into tears. I held them back & said, you obviously have no idea what this is... Now my decision is solid. No one else will no. I don't need that in my life, it's part of why I am the way I am, I don't need approval from anyone, this is my life & I'm taking it back for me.

The one thing we cannot control is time, we can only 'spend' it, it is so inspiring you have chose to spend it this way!!!!

I'm September 20th. I start my liquid diet tomorrow and am getting really excited. It's finally happening!!!

My surgery is tomorrow!!!! I am so excited! I am wishing a safe surgery to everyone else, and hope we all reach or exceed our goals!

Back on January 9th, a group of Pekin , Illinois bikers were riding west on I-74
when they saw a girl about to jump off the Murray Baker Bridge .
So they stopped.
George, their leader, a big burly man of 53, gets off his Harley, walks
through a group of gawkers, past the State Trooper who was
trying to talk her down off the railing, and says,
"Hey Baby.....whatcha doin' up there on that railin'?"
She says tearfully, "I'm going to commit suicide!!"
While he didn't want to appear "sensitive," George also didn't want
to miss this "be-a-legend" opportunity either so he asked …
"Well, before you jump, Honey-Babe...why don't you give ole George here your best last kiss?"
So, with no hesitation at all, she leaned back over the railing
and did just that … and it was a long, deep, lingering kiss
followed immediately by another even better one.
After they breathlessly finished, George gets a big thumbs-up approval
from his biker-buddies, the onlookers and even the
State Trooper and then says,
"Wow! That was the best kiss I have ever had, Honey!
That's a real talent you're wasting, Sugar Shorts. You could be
famous if you rode with me. Why the hell are you committing suicide?"
"My parents don't like me dressing up like a girl."
It's still unclear whether she jumped or was pushed.

Never thought I'd say this about trolling...but this one is worth it for the laughs!

I'm just going to reply so I can get updates on this steamy... I mean "buttery" thread.
I haven't had my sleeve yet but I'm already telling my boyfriend all the fun things I have planned for him. .
