I have migraines and Biotin did not make them worse, but everyone is different. Try Swanson's hair Skin & Nails Vitamins - no biotin.

Awwww sorry to hear about that...hope you feel better soon.
I don't plan on doing anything extra with my hair. I'm natural now and just wash it and put on a headband and go. Life is much easier. But then I went natural after losing my hair several times due to chemo. I'm at the point in my life where I finally say...I am not my hair... If it starts to thin out after surgery, then I'm just going to get a boy cut..lol Or guess I should say a really low buzz cut.
Btw, how'd you make out with your EKG and docs visit?

Good morning Hun. I'm so frustrated for you as well. You said the Dr. was money hungry in our last conversation. I'm wondering, once you get clearance from the new cardiologist, if there's anyway to appeal his payment. Especially since it wasn't needed. Granted, it is better to be safe than sorry, but at least if you get the needed clearance then that should be the proof to have your insurance deny his last payment (just a thought). In the meantime, don't fret. God puts things in our paths for reasons. You will soon be sleeved. *Hugs*

He's a damn a*****e. By law, he's supposed to give you copies of all of your records. Glad you were able to get the copies. LMAO - you must be 10 minutes away from PA or NY. Keep me posted. I'm sure you'll have smooth sailing from here. I actually go in to see my PCP today for my 5th visit and hopefully my EKG. I'll message you later tonight and let you know how it goes.

Yes it does stink. I did manage to get full copies late yesterday. I actually went to his other office location where I knew he wasn't and asked for a copy of all the studies in my file because I was going to another doctor out of state. Technically, where I live to get "out of state" is only a 10 minute ride..so it was not a lie..lol She said sure.... click, click, click...all done. So I have everything I need for my appointment with the new card on Thursday...
Some doctor's are just simply unbelievable. Glad it worked out for you as well. Like pulling teeth though...geesh...

Sleeved on 6/25...I am down 73 total, 24 of this was preop. My bmi is improving. My land were good except my Iron is low and I need to raise my good cholesterol. Loosing some hair, but thankfully my hair is thick so not a problem yet. Feel pretty good other then a little fatigue from the Iron. Cold a lot which is strange to me since I used to get hot real easy. But again That is a side effect of low iron. Feeling pretty good about things. Definitely glad I did this.

My surgeon had me do a 7day liquid diet once a month in the three months leading up to surgery. I was so glad he did. After the first one, the rest plus pre-op were a piece of cake. I wasn't all stressed out before surgery either!

Depends on your surgeon. I've been "using" since 3 weeks post op. I get way more air without than with. My surgeon says ok after a few weeks but some have people convinced that your sleeve will get stretched out and your stomach will grow back.

8 days post op I licked the seasoning off some wheat thins...I think it was the sun dried Tomato basil flavor. f**k it was good. My sweet dog Wrigley ate the licked crackers afterward. She was all too happy to dispose of the evidence for me.
Also.....I parked in a handicapped space at the dollar store while on my 2 week pre-op diet. I was running in real quick to get a Kit Kat which I may or may not have eaten. Honestly it disappeared so fast I'm not sure where it went.

Okay, so, since I've been frequenting this virtual bariatric world, there appear to be a few issues which seem to ignite much debate and throw the most meekly devised threads into huge ego-centric 'flaming' exercises.
Not only do I, personally, find this predictably boring; it is also deeply unhelpful. We all know that this process changes or should change, how we do and view things to do with food and wider health issues, forever. As such, it takes a bit of getting used to.
The prospect of having to adapt our long-held behaviours is scary and our little food related rituals? They are tough bleedin' Cookies to break. (My apologies for mentioning the 'C' word there)
Consequently, I'm a big believer in the adage that 'skeletons in the cupboard' are no longer 'skeletons', if they are dragged out into the light of day. (Normally kicking and screaming with the neighbours looking on in horror)
So, roll-up, roll-up. Consider this an online bariatric confessional!
There'll be no 'Hail Mary's' or 'Our Fathers' and flagellation will NOT and should not be forthcoming.
I want you to tell us your 'dirty' little bariatric secrets.
What did you do? Why did you do it? (and I will refrain from asking 'with whom?' you did it!) How did it make you feel afterwards? Did you resolve to never do it again - or indeed, did you think that actually, everything in moderation is not so bad after all?
Did you chow down on that hot-sauce laden and cheese encrusted beef taco 2 days post op? (No one can tell I'm fantasizing about anything that does not constitute a 'fluid' much, can you?!!!) Did you sneak into the fridge and eat all your kids chocolate bars, happy in the knowledge that your Protein Pump Inhibitors would prevent you from getting indigestion? Did you swallow 10 vodka martini's to see if your pouch and your legs could take it?
Come on, tell Aunty Revs and lets see if we can put these beasts to bed once and for all x
As is only fair, I shall go first.. Tonight, I, 8 days post surgery, ate a fair amount of cheese frosting off the top of a red velvet cupcake (and maybe a couple of mouthfuls of the sponge, too). Why? Because it was there. Did it make any sense? No, because I have never craved sweet stuff. I'm a savoury kind of girl. What did I learn from it? That damn, I'm an emotional eater (which I never thought I was) and that shockingly, that **** went down a little bit too easily. Consequently, I learnt in that way lies grave danger...
See, if I can do it, anyone can. So, step forward and lets hear the 'worst' you've got. Everyone is welcome and all are equal here x
