  1. thanks! yea pretty much..i'm able to achieve muscle growth, i can see it and feel it in my legs and arms. im and apple shape. so most of my body fat hangs around my torso. i have to do a lot of cardio. i think im scared to look too thin. and so i havent kept up with my cardio routine.HIIT cardio is best for fat loss along with diet. I loosely track my macros in addition to my calories but for the folks who really do follow their macros, I've seen some amazing transformations. You can google IIFYM calculator to calculate your levels. I would also keep hitting the weights as well to provide shape and definition to your body as you shed fat. Keep us posted on your progress. Great job so far! Can you even believe you have to worry about looking too thin!!! ???? I will definitely look deeper into HIIT. I don't dig too deep into tracking macros and all of that because I don't want to drive myself crazy. I'm bad enough when it comes to calories. I might give it a try if it doesn't seem like too much. It is absolutely crazy to think about looking too thin! Who would've thought. I will definitely keep you posted. And you look great by the way! Thanks for the encouragement ????

  6. im in the home stretch. 2 more months until my 1 yr surgiversary!

  7. so has anyone else been told that they should stop losing weight by people other than their surgeon or pcp? I have...twice in two days, two people said i should stop where im at. I have 30 or so more pounds to lose. so of course i said no, i wont stop. but im wondering what really is the reason. I'm guessing it's because they just like my size now. They also think im disappearing, and this could be because, of course, it's only been 5 months, and i've lost 50 lbs. Who else has had these encounters??
  8. lol my good friend said she gets scared, because she's like "what if u lose so much, and cant stop and end up in a wheelchair?!" bless her heart...i said the body doesnt work like that my dear lol i really do have a great circle. but some ppl are definitely, beyond a reasonable doubt...clueless
  9. i dunno what was up with that doctor. just because that is the average size for an american, doesnt make it right. its no surprise that he reacted that way. what ppl dont kno, they question. i wish you the best of luck!
  10. yes, but i may adjust it to 105. I'm 4'7.5" in case u were thinking that that was way too low of a number lol
  11. Thank you all for ur replies and encouragement. so far no women have said anything, and thankfully i have more supportive friends and family than not. So im gonna still do what needs to be done, cuz im trying to make goal by march!

    july 2013 sleevers

im starting to wonder if part of my gassy issue is due to my hernia repair. because it just wont let up. ladies i have tried it all. with every sip, it's almost like i have the benz. and now i feel like there is something sitting in the back of my throat. this is way beyond annoying. i'd like to get on with being normal before i start to have regrets.

    july 2013 sleevers

thank you! i had to take a break and just rest. my gas has gotten better, although it took some time. i actually started taking the prescribed pepcid ac and voile...gas is better. go figure. i did throw up again today, but that was more of a gagging issue...im not getting all of the liquids i need since i was never a drinker to begin with. so my saliva is rather thick and it just felt yucky. once i get to heaving i hav to concentrate on calming down. tmi...sorry lol...but im feeling better. im getting so stuffed on purees. so my next goals are more liquids and learning my portions. i have NO idea wat size my sleeve is lol
  15. this is me...how is the gas now? still stuck?

i just threw up at home for the first time. i dont kno if it was the new liquid multivitamin, or the gas that just wont go away. either way it sucked, and i've gotta tell the dr. tomorrow

  18. Tomorrow makes 1 week since surgery. I've lost 12 lbs, but I don't feel like I did anything. Yes, I walk everyday, and I stick to my diet as per my surgeon during this healing process. Still, I don't feel like I've begun to really do what is necessary. Maybe in the coming weeks. However, I still rewarded myself to start a non-food reward habit, and purchased my first pair of flip-flops Have you ever felt this way? What are some of your non-food rewards?

  21. i definitely meant to say fit flops lol...cuz if i have never had flip flops at 27, something is wrong lol i suppose you are right. that is work. cuz after those walks, i am like "wheeeeew" now this is a serious question. i find it interesting that you never learned to ride. soooo how will you learn? there are no training wheels for adults, or are there? cuz those are the best thing ever. you have a good list, i need to come up with one as well

    Full so fast

Mine definitely was. It was literally five minutes of rather irrelevant questioning. Luckily I'm of sound mind and I did my research, among other things.
