Hi, you sound like you're doing really well. Soon the pain will be a memory and you'll be on the road to the new you. My advice to you during this time is drink drink drink and move move move as much as you are possible. Its during these first few weeks that you have the potential to lose the most weight quickly. But don't be discouraged if it doesn't happen that way. Everyone is different.

Hello I just had my sleeve done on Tuesday.

I just got approved my date is Dec.11. I can't wait I am blessed.

Congratulations! I got my date today too. I'm November 4th. Start pre-op diet 10-21

I had my egd today....everything went very well....all set for surgery Monday 10/21/13.......very excited & ready for the changes & nice, happy, & healthy life... (~_~)

Ok I got my time!!!! I have to be at the hospital for 9:30am tomorrow. I can't wait to get this thing started I'm so excited! !!! Im packing my bag right now and getting the family prepared to be witbout me for a day or two. (Lets hope the house is still standing when i return)!!! Lol. I promise I will keep you all informed and let you know how it is.

Yay not much longer now!!! :-D

Had my surgery on 9/25/13. Im a doing pretty good. First day rough feels like i was hit by an 18 wheeler. Each day gets better. The best thing you can do for yourself is to walk walk and walk. This gets everything functioning again and take as many sips of Fluid as you can. Sugarfree. If u follow this i promise it will get you through those first few rough days. Any questions just ask. I dont mind sharing my experience. Glad we are here for each other.

So happy to hear everyones stories. I'm waiting for initial doc appt. Hopefully they'll call monday. Got ins approval 9-26-13. I'm so excited and nervous. Psycheval and nutrition counseling done. Now waiting on doctor.

OMG OMG OMG!!! Jus got the call frm the surgeons off my last pre-op appt is Oct 2, & sugery is tentatively scheduled for Oct 21....will confirm date at last appt :-) ...super excited

Today is my 3rd day in the hospital..I feel good, no nausea, just a lil pain of gas..I'm eating now my fabulous Breakfast. ..and I go to my home at 11 ! Remember, walk, walk and walk....Congrats to all new approvals, and keep in touch!

Hey Queene-Shelle glad to hear you got approved. I would stay in communication with the doctor's office on a date. Try not to worry about the month, i know you are ready to start this life changing event but you got approved thats awesome. I say this because look on the bright side some insurances dont cover this procedure and some people dont even get approved for this type of procedure and have to go through an appeal. So i would just keep calling to see when is the scheduled date and i cant wait to see the new you. You are gonna rock this thing so stay positive. GOD BLESS

I had my surgery yesterday! I had a hard day yesterday, but today I'm feeling a lil better. Chest pain for the gas, but I'm walking a lot! I ate a chicken broth (wacala) today, but very small amount! I'll keep in touch! Thanks for the prayers.

I got approved today i was overwhelmed and speechless

Hiii hope everyone is doin great some days are getting really close for some yeeyy you all will get there and i can't wait to see posts ....i myself have had a decent recovery surgery like i said b4 went great i am a week post-op today i stayed an extra day in the hospital because i started to get fever but thankfully it was nothing bad and not too high, the one problem i have had is Protein i have not been able to do any protein at all i am unsure if it was texture, flavors, etc but one of the nurse practitioners called me today to follow up and i was able to adress my concerns she gave me other ideas for drinks i can use for getting my protein and my dear hubby went quickly to get them, i have been on Water, broth, and crystal light soo i have been feeling extremly tired but hopefully i do better tomorrow once i start trying the new Protein Drinks. Anyways i tried going with hubby and kids shopping 4 just a few things i was out of breath and had to hurry up and come back home because i wasn't feeling it at all. I have been able to walk around the house much better now i made dinner with my daughter's help for my hubby and kids also got tired. My water intake has been much better well water with crystal light atleast and the chicken broth feels soo good on my sleevie i ordered some unflavored Protein Powder so that i can add it to my crystal light and broth to add some protein in my diet atleast that way i have had some weird sensations in my sleevie and in my chest area as i drink i am still unsure what it may be i get it when i drink plain water it almost feels like it causes my stomache some kind of spasm and i have to breath slowly and wait for it to pass and another thing is when i drink again mostly plain water its like water goes down into the empty sleeve causing air to come up idk really weird feeling lol i guess i'll figure it out sooner or later.....and finally from 222 when i went in on my surgery date i am at 209 soo far so 13 lbs in 7 days and everytime i look at the scale i feel soo weird and in disbelief so a total of 26lbs since i started with the preop diet ....we can do this! xoxox
