  1. Hi!!! I just checked the package of the unflavored Protein powder I got at GNC and it says it contains milk.
  2. So sorry to hear you were having a rough time but it seems like you are on your way out it which is good. I also had a hard few weeks after surgery. Im a type 1 diabetic and after being home from the hospital for 2 days I had to be rushed back due to complications with my diabetes. I ended up with DKA and couldn't breathe and stayed in the hospital for a few days. So needless to say I lost precious time in the beginning to heal and exercise. But I didnt let that stop me and now I'm down almost 80lbs in only 4 1/2 months. You can do this!!!!
  3. Hi, you sound like you're doing really well. Soon the pain will be a memory and you'll be on the road to the new you. My advice to you during this time is drink drink drink and move move move as much as you are possible. Its during these first few weeks that you have the potential to lose the most weight quickly. But don't be discouraged if it doesn't happen that way. Everyone is different.
  4. Hey guys. Just thought I'd let everyone know that I found this 100% whey protein powder that is unflavored. 1 scoop is 24g of protein and you can mix it into cold beverages or food. I mixed it into my Greek yogurt tonight and it was great. So its 24g and the 12g in the yogurt gave me a whopping 36g right there. Just an idea for everyone having trouble getting the protein in with food alone like me.
  5. Hi. I live in New Haven county and had my sleeve surgery on October 1st 2013. So far I have lost 76 pounds and I'm very happy with it. Would like to lose 35 more to hit my goal. Experiencing a bit of a stall but I read on another thread that increasing my fluids/protein might do the trick. How's everyone doing?
  6. So glad I found this group. I am 4 1/2 months out and so far I've lost 76 pounds which I'm really happy about. The last few weeks have been a stall though and its been frustrating because I know I'm eating right and I exercise constantly. But I do think I'm not getting enough fluids or protein so what everyone is saying totally makes sense! !! Gonna start with mega fluids/protein tomorrow and then weigh myself in a week to see if there's any results. Fingers crossed. I'd like to lose 35 more pounds to hit my goal!!!!
  7. Im doing really well, thanks!!! So glad I did this, it has changed my life. I actually enjoy working out now. Im much stronger and healthier. I went from a 3x top and size 20 pants to a large top and 14 pants. Ive hit a stall with the weight loss. Has this happened to you? If so how did you get out of it? My goal is to lose 35 more pounds.
  8. Hi, I had my sleeve surgery on 10/1. I was 255 on the day of surgery and today I'm 180. So 75 lbs in a little over 4 months is something I never thought possible. I workout almost everyday. I've kinda hit a plateau though and have hovered at this weight for a few weeks now. Anyone in the same boat??? Any tips???
  9. Congratulations, how are you feeling? I had mine done on 10/1.
  10. Congratulations to all our newly approved sleevers!!!!!!!
  11. Hey everyone! !!! Sorry its taken me this this long to update everyone. My surgery was on 10/1 and everything about the surgery went great. Had a little hiccup with my diabetes and ended up back in the hospital for a few days but all is well new. Still on liquid diet but surprisingly not feeling hunger at all. Just starting to get bored with the liquids though. Cant wait for the next stage to start something different. Back to the morning walks with the hubby so that's good. As of 2 days ago I am down 14lbs so maybe today its a couple more. Getting around fine, just a little soreness around incision sites. So that's how its going so far. Congratulations to all our newly approved sleevers!!!! It really is worth it!!!!
  12. Ok I got my time!!!! I have to be at the hospital for 9:30am tomorrow. I can't wait to get this thing started I'm so excited! !!!
