  6. YIPPEE!!!!! So happy for you! !!! Make sure you guys keep us posted. Everything is coming together for us. Soon we'll have to start a post-op thread for all of us!!!!!
  7. Surgery is scheduled for October 1st. So excited, and nervous. Added plus is I don't have to do any kind of pre-op diet.
  8. Thanks everyone, I will let everyone know the date as soon as I find out. I wonder if I'm going to have to do a pre op diet? They never mentioned anything about it. Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone!!!!
  9. HOLY COW I just got off the phone with my insurance and I've been approved! !!! Called my surgeons office and I meet with him tomorrow at 3:30 to set a surgery date. I can't believe that its actually happening, it seems so real now.
  10. Are there any Connecticut sleevers that have Oxford insurance? ?? My dr office just sent everything to them for approval this past Tuesday and I'm just wondering how long others have typically had to wait. Getting antsy!!!!!! Thanks, hope all is well with everyone! !!
  11. So happy for you, and a bit jealous!! mine was submitted to my insurance on Tuesday so hopefully I'll hear something soon!!!!! You'll do great and please keep us up to date on how you're doing.
  12. Woo hoo!!! So happy for you guys that got your calls. Maybe today will be the day for the rest of us???
  13. I am also waiting for my insurance' s approval. It was just submitted on tuesday morning so I know I have a little waiting to do. I started the process with this doctor in May so I tell myself if I've made it this far I can hang on for another week or so. I hope you guys hear something soon!!!!!
  14. Make sure you rest and keep us updated on your progress. When can you leave the hospital and go home?
  15. So happy for you!!!! How do you feel?
  16. Well I'm back!!!! Had my final dietitian visit today and my packet was submitted to oxford late this morning. So now I play the waiting game.....again. but I'm thankful that I'm here.
  17. Well, got a call from my surgeons office yesterday and was told that they spoke to OXford and found out I actually need 6 dietician visits not 3!!!! So now I won't be done till the 1st week of September. Needless to say I cried for a bit. I mean, what am I going to gain from 3 more visits?? Yes I'm eating my 3 veggies and fruits a day. Yes I'm drinking my water. Yes I'm exercising. Yes I cut out all my coffee. And I get to go and answer these questions 3 more times, for what? ? Very frustrating to say the least. Sorry to sound like a negative nelly, just had to vent to some people that I know understand.
  18. Like mralottolose said, STAY POSITIVE!!!! you have come this far you can do it. Just try your best to get your fluids and protein in. If you're having trouble talk to your dr about it, they are there to help you. How about exercise, how are you doing with that? You can do this!!!!
  19. Sorry to hear you're frustrated. Are you drinking enough and getting in your protein? Maybe your body is going into starvation mode???
  20. Had my last appointment yesterday and dr's office said they had everything needed to send to oxford and they would submit it either today or Friday. I think this is the worst part, working so hard the last few months and doing everything that was asked of you and now all you can do is wait.
  21. Thanks Janice! !! If you don't mind my asking, how are you doing since your surgery? How was your recuperation? I have 2 small children and I'm just wondering what to expect and if I'm going to be out of commission for a bit. Thanks!!!!
  22. Thanks so much for the welcome PattyGee!!!! My surgeon is Dr. Macaron in Middlebury. I'll have my surgery at St. Mary's Hospital. I did actually talk to Oxford a few weeks back and they told me that as long as they get everything they need and don't need to go back and fourth with the dr's office getting things, then its a pretty quick turnaround. I don't think i'll relax till I get the go ahead from the insurance and get a surgery date!!!! If all goes well maybe by August????
