I was sleeved on Wed Aug 28th and am kicking myself in the ass for making this decision. I feel like crap and can't tolerate drinking anything either. I'm just hoping it gets better with time.

Your mean and evil brain wants you to quit. IT DOES GET better and you will feel so proud that you have overcome! HANG IN THERE!!!

YESSS!!! And still going through it. It does get easier by the day. Just stay focused. Wish I could say two weeks will fly by in no time!! But seriously this has been the longest 2 weeks of my life. You'll get through it....Good Luck!!!

Hi everyone,
Wanted to take a minute and introduce myself. My bf had the sleeve a year ago in May and I finally got enough courage up and decided to do it also. We have a 3 year old grandson that we are raising and I want to be around for a long time to see him grow up. Between the obesity, high blood pressure, and diabetes I know that probably won't be a reality without the surgery. I had my first surgeon appt on June 12 and am now waiting for insurance authorization for all of my specialist appts. I'm hoping to get the surgery by the end of August because my insurance changes on Sept 1st and the new insurance requires me to see a nutritionist for 6 months before they will authorize the surgery. I am so glad that I found this website and look forward to sharing my journey.

Hi, I'm at pretty much the same stage as you. I have all my 1st specialist appointments over the next couple of weeks. I have to have my surgery done before the end of August because my insurance changes on Sept 1. Good luck on your journey and keep us updated!!!

This is the step I was most worried about. It was a breeze. They brought me into the room, the anesthesiologist gave me something "to make this go easier" and next thing I knew I woke up in the recovery room. Just wanted to post this in case anyone else is really nervous about this part.

As soon as I woke up they let me know that everything looked good!!!

Whenevr I had mine on Wednesday, they gave my results to my hubby, as I was not completely lucid. And they gave him the pics of it as well. All was gr8! Wish yall luck too:)

I have mine on Thursday afternoon I just found out today that I've been approved for surgery!!!

Well friends I just got home from my pre-op apt! I am officially registered for Friday for the sleeve and have started my liquid diet. I am so excited for this new chapter of my life! Surgery is scheduled for Friday, July 19th at 8:00am at Saint Joseph East in Lexington with Dr. Steiner.. ????

I always worry about sitting places. Going to friends houses and breaking their chairs, things like that. It has never happened thank God but still a worry. I imagine something like that will be hard to let go of even after losing the weight.

Two of the major things I wanna be able to do is not have to request a seat belt extender on a plane, and be able to tuck in my shirt. I haven't been able to comfortably tuck my shirt in years, I would be embarrassed because of that lower tummy pouch.

I guess its not what I will do but.......I want my husband to be able to lift me up.....stupid I know but I never did get carried over the threshold!

1. Stop injecting insulin five times a day plus oral meds
2. Wear jeans!!!
3. Get up from the floor without holding on to furniture
4. Sit criss cross on the floor in my pre k classroom
5. Have a baby!!!

I want to buy a new bed and have it last longer than 3 years and not have a big sag in it...LOL

walking without my legs touching, wearing cute dresses, scuba diving, and skinny sex top my list:)

I want to go wedding dress shopping. I never had a wedding so hubby and I want to renew our vows for our 15th anniversary in 2016...I think I want a MERMAID style dress to show off my new curves! SUPER EXCITED!!

I want to wear skinny jeans lol and dresses.... I know adventurous right

I have made it to my goal. Riding a roller coaster was something I wanted to do, and have done it now! It was great fitting in the seat without any problems. I have never been zip lining and that sounds like a blast! I am the kind of person that wants to try everything at least once...and since the sleeve I can finally do it!
