  1. At least half cup of liquids per hour gets you to the 64 ounce requirement.
  2. I'm pureed now so I'm eating poached eggs, refried beans, mashed potatoes, oatmeal, cream of wheat, frozen greek yogurt bars, beechnut turkey baby food, split pea soup, bean soup, applesauce unsweetened, sugarfree pudding, sugarfree ice cream, and peanut butter.
  3. I'm almost 3 weeks post op and on purees since last week. My diet progression same as you. I ate a lot of homemade mashed potato soup.
  4. Hey that is awesome! I hope I do too.
  5. You won't need them! Keep positive!
  6. I have sugarfree hot cinnamon candies and sugarfree werthers. Maybe give those a try.
  7. Carafate is excellent! Keep on doing it until the all clear from your doctor. You should be as good as new soon!

  13. I'm doing adrenal supplementation for my low blood pressure and vertigo. Really helps.
  14. Taking my kiddo to the beach today for some body surfing. Haven't been to the beach in 7 years. 3 weeks post op down 20 pounds. Cw 203. This is so surreal!
  15. Fiddleman you can get blow up toys at the dollar store too!
  16. Don't you look at food portions and think wow that is way too much? And I used to eat that and something with it!
  17. Me too! Pre op 233 Sw 216 Cw 203 Labor day 180
  18. Good bye thunder thighs. I won't miss you. No food tastes good enough to indure the endless painful chub rub daily. No chocolate is worth not being able to cross my legs. No holiday foods could make me love this buddha belly. I won't miss my old self or play mind games with myself and say I was perfectly happy and healthy the way I was before. I will not sabotage myself with untruths. Truth is I was miserable. I was on the fringe of society. It was hard to find clothes could only shop at fat stores. Then it became hard to find shoes again only at the fat stores. Everyone felt the need to tell me about their diet or exercise plan. I was tired all the time. And people would ask me if I was pregnant. Very embarassing. I am enjoying 20 pounds gone, bra shopping in a regular store, having a thinner face. Sure this post op recovery has been a total b***h but I will get better and stronger every day. I will set myself up for success. And I will win. What are your motivators? How do you keep focused?
  19. What I notice is the veterans here don't say they have any remorse other than not doing this sooner. All the comments about being depressed or having second thoughts are coming from those of us who are newly sleeved. Just a thought.
  20. Benadryl is not addictive physiologically but if you have addictive type personality you can be addicted to anything. On cable there's a show called strange addiction and some guy was addicted to blow up pool toys.
  21. I am on pureeds and make plain old oatmeal with a splash of cream and sprinkle of cinnamon. Settles my tummy in a flash and has 6 gm of protein. I also got frozen greek yogurt bars with 6gm of protein made by yasso.
  22. So glad you got checked out by your doctor! Feel better soon!
  23. You can repeat it every four hours. They even have tongue strips.
  24. Benadryl 30 ml at bedtime. I buy it at the dollar store. It also helps with nausea.
