So just because I'm 6 days post op and bored to tears I've been looking anything and everything up on the iPad......I was just looking up nutritional value for Chinese food (past fav) and it seems to be very high in protein and if you order right not too bad with fat and calories......was wondering if someday I can eat Chinese again or is it a bad food? And how does it sit with the sleeve?

I am a RN in a busy ER so I decided to take off 9 weeks for 2 reasons....I want to be completely healed and recovered with no chance of complications before I return And most importantly I would like to become comfortably with my maintenance phase to make it easier to go back to work because of the hours and shifts that I work.....but that's just me -

I had surgery the 29th, the only issue I had right after surgery was nausea that resolved by the next day..very minimal pain, now none....I never experienced gas pains thank goodness...,I'm still on clear liquids which I'm not having any trouble with.....I see my surgeon on the 10th and will get to advance yeah....I'm down 18lbs since surgery -

Why am I ashamed that I had to have WLS?
denise633 replied to gamergirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had the lapband in 2008 and was always scared to tell people that I had WLS.....when the mentioned the weight loss or the "how did you do it" I would say change in diet and exercise which wasn't a lie.....now I Am going to have the sleeve on August 29th at the same hospital I work at as an ER nurse so I though what the hell.....I've told everyone....so what....it's my body my business....of course I get the, "oh Denise are you sure you want to do that?" Or the "you don't look heavy enough"......but I also get the "good for you" and a lot of encouragement......so whatever you choose to do tell or not to tell, the only persons business it is is yours.....
