    Dinner: couple pieces of sushi, 3 or 4.. .or a tiny amount of rice,(2 cooked table spoons) with some stewed veggies on top. or small amount of ground beef. Or half a cheeseburger from like 5 guys (clean burger place aka not wendys or burgerking) and the other half an hour later.
    Sprinkle in some Water throughout the day.

    @eversum experiment with Soups, i think its too soon for you but around the 3rd week i started more creamy Soups. I was hungry also but the thought of me doing damage to my stomach was enough to make me deal with it. Now i say this in the most heart felt way but i don't envy the stage your in now at all, you have a tough road , full of mind tricks, and hunger ahead but stay strong and remember why you did this in the first place.
    I ordered the powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury Protein chicken Soup and that helped a great deal. If you haven't you may want to try them.

    @Wynnie Im not sure what the question is really, if your drinking your Protein then your getting your Protein. If you asking when or how you will be able to actually eat 60 grams of protein through normal food ... that really depends on you. i started probably after 2nd month. What i did was a combo of both Protein shakes and i started with sliced deli meat and small amounts of ground beef i was sushi was also a good source of protein for me and cheese and milk. I can't tell you that i got in the recommended amount every day, but some how i managed to end up ok i think. The trick is finding a protein source that you can tolerate. I hope this helped in some way.

    But on the other hand, you are right in the middle of your normal BMI, so maybe your goal weight was just too high. If you are eating healthy, getting adequate calories, feeling good, and your bloodwork numbers are good, maybe your body just hasn't hit its new natural "normal" yet.

    @@slimmindown, that's actually where I was looking . All the travel websites only go as far as June 2015, I'm not scheduled until July. I already have an idea of how much my ticket will be.. just thought it would be neat to see what deals people got and if they waited or just bought it immediately.

    It is because your stomach is smaller. Eating too fast or over-eating (and they often go together -- eat too fast and your stomach won't have time to signal the brain that it is full) can lead to pressure/irritation on the vagus nerve. Because the stomach is so much smaller, and the vagus nerve runs along the top of the stomach, it is easier for food to press against it up there at the top then when you had a big stomach and the food had lots of room down at the bottom. The vagus nerve controls all sorts of reactions in the top half of the body, such as coughing, sneezing, runny nose, etc., which is why many sleevers get a runny nose or a cough as a signal that they have eaten too much.
    So, your vagus nerve gets super-irritated and it responds with foamies/slimies sometimes. Also, if you eat too fast or too much there is pressure on your esophagus, again, because your stomach is so much smaller and there is nowhere for the food to go. The body may respond to the pressure by "thinking" that there is food or something lodged in the esophagus and that you need to vomit it out, so it will start producing huge amounts of mucus and salivary juices in your mouth and throat in order to prepare for vomiting -- which never comes because you don't actually have something stuck.
    This is the way my bariatric nurse explained it to me -- I hope it makes sense and that I have passed it along correctly! Not a medical professional for sure, just trying to relay what was told to me.

    Wow that is amazing how much you have lost and now cannot stop! I had my sleeve on 2/26 this year and am down 61 pounds but every day I am afraid I will not keep losing, it is down to about 1-2 pounds a week. I hope you are not having any problems or becoming anorexic. What does your Dr. say? Good luck

    What are you eating? Have you tried upping your calories with healthy alternative to the "low carb/low calorie/low fat" rules? Even though I still do Protein first, once I hit goal, I started adding more healthy carbs and fat to my diet. Regular cottage cheese instead of nonfat, 2% milk instead of skim, more mayo in my chicken and tuna salad, real Peanut Butter instead of PB2, more whole grain Snacks, real juice and regular Lifewater instead of sugar free drinks, an occasional 1/2 bagel with cream cheese, sweet potatoes, etc. I'm 9 pounds under goal, but have managed to slow my loss to 1 pound/week.

    I'm sorry you are having problems. I didn't go through this, but I would contact your counselor to reassure yourself that you aren't having low sugar problems or potassium problems. Are you taking your nutritional supplements daily? This is very important, especially because you won't be getting the Vitamins and minerals you need to heal. I had problems with stomach issues for quite a few weeks after the surgery. I threw up often because I didn't always know what worked for me. Each person is different. It's been nearly two years since my surgery, but I still have a hard time digesting rice and heavy Pasta. I feel fine though with nearly everything else I eat, including spicy Mexican and Chinese. My weight loss was less then expected, but I have physical problems that made exercise in the early stages impossible. I'm still losing weight though without trying to, only very slowly, which I like. So hang in there. It takes awhile for your stomach to heal completely, but it will feel normal again, just not as soon as you'd like :=}

    I had the band for 8 years and lost about 70 l d but could not eat solid foods without pain so I lived on Soup until I finally had the band opened a couple of years ago. I regained everything I lost plus 10lbs. Due to being on insulin I gained 50lbs and I was just miserable. I got the band removed and converted to the sleeve on 5/23. I'm down about 23 lbs in 3 weeks and 33lbs since 5/10 when I started Optifast (Pre-op). Personally I've had doctors tell me they don't know why anyone would do the lap band based on the lack of long term results most people experience. I'm sure there are people happy with the lap band but I was not. I love the sleeve so far. No pain when eating so far.
