I'm having these pains every now and then that I can only describe as spasms. My stomach tightens up for a minute or so and hurts then it just goes away. Anyone else experienced this?
Yes my stomach did that a lot in the beginning now just over 3 weeks out it is better!

Any fellow school teachers out there? I'm beginning to get nervous about going back to work since it's taking me so long to eat a meal and we only have 30 min. to eat lunch. Also worried about keeping up with Water intake since it's pretty much impossible to go to restroom with a room full of first graders?

I am a teacher as well. I get an hour for lunch but with all of the changes this year in our state I have so much paperwork I hope I have the energy to teach and work with my students! I am a little nervous about going back as well!

I think that is the problem. I was on Nexium before surgery and I am only on Prilosec now. I think the Nexium is stronger but I brought it up to surgeon and he didn't think there was a problem.

Hi hang in there ,,its still so fresh for you.. It will get better I promise you. have you tried eggs or egg whites with some cheese,, make some ricotta cheese with sauce and mozzarella (noodle less lasagna) in the microwave ..some greek yogurt with honey drizzle ( not as sweet as fruit flavored).. its gonna be a bit of getting use to finding things that dont bother you for now... but later this wont be a problem...

Thanks eggs are not until my next stage. Thinking of going out and getting some baby food.

Hi I am about 19 days out and am on puréed foods. I just feel like I should feel better than I do. I still get nausea but I have IBS and that is one of the symptoms I use to get. I have tried canned chicken with low fat mayo- didn't feel good after. I have tried refried Beans, green salsa-no good, cottage cheese-real bad, added chicken breast to refried beans and puréed no good. Getting frustrated!! Still drink Protein Shake every morning cause I know I need protein! Any suggestions? I am going to call NUT on Mon.

I hadn't thought about it before! Lol!

I am on the puréed stage and I got one of those chickens they make in the store. I used the white meat added fat free refried Beans, trader joe's green salsa, a little low fat cheese and some fat free chicken broth and put it in my bullet. Was pretty yummy and had a fair amount of Protein in it.

Hi! I was sleeved on Dec 9th. My main focus on day 5 was staying hydrated. I found propel zero and it helped a lot. Also found out I am allergic to whey Protein so I use egg white Protein Powder. They do have an unflavored one but I couldn't find it at my Vitamin Shoppe. I also have an unflavored rice protein which I plan on adding to my food when I go to puréed stage. Hope some of this helps and u get better.

Thank God found this post! Had surgery Dec 9th and was an emotional wreck yesterday! I could not stop crying! Still feel weepy today but I have 5 year old twin boys and don't want to cry in front of them.

Had to call surgeon tonight. Have some left side pain and it hurt to put my arm down by my side. He thinks it is muscle skeletal pain and to call him back if I get a fever over 100, chills or heart palpitations. Ugh can't wait to go to sleep.< /p>

Ok anyone else am emotional wreck? Day 10 and all I feel like doing is crying! Plus my stomach hurts! Ugh!

Post op day 8. Felt better yesterday. Don't know if I am drinking too fast or not enough. Idk anyways hope to take my boys for a walk outside in the snow but they are napping right now. Using pain med only at night now. Going to have yogurt for dinner tonight instead of cream Soup. Will see how that goes. Hoping next Tuesday I can start purred food! Got some great recipes from this website!

I was rushed to the hospital last night via ambulance after experiencing severe pain and nausea, in the middle of a snowstorm.

My blood pressure was 60/25 which I'm told is extremely dangerous. Pumped me with fluids and BP came up to 107/55.

Cat scan revealed bleeding and they are still not sure what's going on. May have more surgery. Pain is still pretty bad.
Oh no! Saying prayers for you!

Hi everyone! I am one week away (Dec 19th) from surgery. Looking at our list, I am still on my own! I have to say that I am not at all nervous about the actual surgery, but how I will feel immediately after. I think nausea is THE worst feeling in the world. I also have been known to end up back in the hospital after surgeries with severe dehydration. I already know that I will be in the hospital at least 2 days, so that makes me feel a little better, also, my husband will be staying with me to motivate me to walk, cough and deep breathe.
I did purchase a night gown since I don't normally wear one and was told I would be more comfortable without an elastic waist band. But, I am wondering if I should just stay in the hospital gown? Did anyone wear their own? and if so, did they get soiled?

I just wore the hospital gown the whole time!

Was done on the 9th and yesterday was tough but my focus was to stay hydrated which I did! Only a few spoonfuls of Protein yesterday going to try more today. Gotta say it has been rough.

Home! Post-op day 2. Probably should have stayed an extra day at hospital just to regulate pain but am going to tough it out! Just trying to stay hydrated! Tomorrow I will work on protein! Have to call doc office tomorrow with some questions! Hope all my Dec 9th sleevers are feeling good!
