shelly22NO (direct answer to your question )
how are you feeling - how is your weight loss going these past couple of months???
I had 85% of my big tummy removed
thats the "standard" amount that most people have removed
i have heard comments/complaints from OP who think their doc didn't take out enough tummy
never the other way around
you think doc took too much tummy out???
is that what you think happened to you???
I kindof doubt he took too much out
i was wrong ONCE though' date=' i thought i had made a mistake!!!
good luck

Hey proudgrammy I'm doing great. I asked the question because someone in another wls group I am in said she had to get scoped today and the doctor told her the surgeon removed too much of her stomach. I have not heard of that situation before either so I thought I would post it here and see if this has happened to anyone else.

Did anyone have too much of their stomach removed and if so how are you doing now?

I had surgery June 20th of this year so it has beeb a month and half since surgery. I find it a challenge to take my meds daily because something in my combo is making me sooo ill. I exercise 5-6 times a week for 30-45 mins. I try to eat enough to reach 1200 cal a day...this is a REAL challenge for me too. Drinking enough Water is another chore. I feel like such a failure! At first I was losing weight. Now I've hit a wall. I'm not even 2 months out from surgery and for the past two weeks I haven't really been able to lose any weight. Some of my friends say that I've probably gained muscle so that is probably why I haven't lost weight. I find this hard to believe. At this point I don't know what to do to keep going. I'm really discouraged. I feel like I have failed and I've only begun.Don't get discouraged I was sleeved on the 18th and find it hard to stick to a routine. My schedule is so busy lately I can't fit in my 3 day a week gym time. Wt loss has been slow but I have lost some inches. The day of surgery I weighed 286 and today I am 266. I know people who have lost more than I have but 20 pounds in a month and a half is awesome so I won't complain and I feel better also. The wt loss will come just take it one day at a time. Don't focus on the numbers try measuring yourself and see how many inches you've lost.

I'm a month post op and I thought the burping would never end. Now I only burp when I start to feel full. That's my sign to stop eating.

Is anyone experiencing fatigue & muscle aches? 3 weeks post-op.I am 3 wks post op and yes fatigue is an understatement. I also returned to work this week. Ive managed to push my way through it. Muscle aches I haven't really experienced. Are you getting enough water/ Protein? Since returning to work I am struggling to get my fluids in :'( . Also I have hit a stall with my wt loss but I definitely have lost inches.

I had that same feeling you are describing. It feels like your food/liquids take a pause before entering your new stomach. That feeling lasted about a week. Now it only happens if I drink too fast it takes my breath away definitely a remind to slow down.

I'm 10 days post op..started purée foods 2 day ago. I can only eat about 5-6 teaspoons at the most and I'm full. Definitely getting my liquids in. I feel awesome and I love how I can see the difference in my clothes already. Best decision I could have made.

I was sleeved on the 6/18 and I feel about 60% my normal. I find that my energy level is down which is probably normal due to the decrease in calories. I was suppose to return to work next week but I have decided to take off one more week.

I was sleeved 6/21/13 everything was going great until they took out my staples at one week post op! I now am discovering a very itchy belly with what appears to be swelling and bumps around my incisions' date=' they are healing well but around them is chaos ! Has anyone else have this? What has helped?Sent from my iPad using VST[/quote']
I had the same reaction except I had sterns trips covering my incisions and once they fell off I developed some irritation around the sites. Itching, redness and a little swelling because I was scratching. I used neosporin around and it cleared up. I hope this help.

I was also sleeved on 18th and 1st pre op appt is 7/3.. my question is... how do u guys feel after you eat? I was on liquid diet only 2 days and now I am on puree. More so puree veggie soup..baby food.. popcicles.. sugar free pudding etc. With every bite I can feel gas bubbles immediately after swallowing. Gets to point where I don't want to eat.Dimples we were sleeved the same day..I wad on liquids until today..now I am on pureed/soft...maybe you should go back to full liquids for A few days and the to puree..I will say when I start to get full I start to burp..and loud..embarrassing..but thats my key to stop eating or drinking and it's only a few bites
I can eat 3 oz of yogurt ..I can drink about 3-4 oz of liquid..today I ate chicken salad 1.5 tsp and I was full..
