  1. What the hell is that? Is that like the incision thingy majingy? Lol. I had laprascopic robotic so mine are not noticable. What did you have Jules and BrickHouse?
  2. The Vent Fitness is next to the KMart in Lathem. $9.99 a month, no start up fee, no contract so figured I would give it a shot. I've tried Planet Fitness before and surprisingly coming from a gay man I found the locker room very 'uncomfortable' and way to 'friendly'. Need I say more? I was pretty grossed out so I called it quits. Lol. Must feel good to be free with no restrictions!?! I remember when they lifted my food restrictions and I tasted normal food. It was exciting but not as much as I thought. Thought I would have missed food, but don't. Lol. Glad your doing well and great job on the weight loss! Remember to eat slow and chew really well. If your chest feels heavy, or like something is stuck tilt your head down, chin pressed against chest and just leave it there for a min or two. Keep up the great work!
  3. That's awesome!!! I want to have your stats but I don't imagine I'll be losing 50 lbs in the next 6 weeks. Hey a girl can dream. Men lose faster anyway... Patience is a virtue and you will surely get there! Damn is men for losing quicker then women!
  4. Woot woot!!! Work it girl! Looking good, looking good! Keep up the good work! Looking friggin fantastic!!!!!
  5. Congrats! Keep positive it's the best journey imaginable! Three and a half months out and down over 90 pounds! Keep us updated!
  6. Congrats! Keep up the great work!!!
  7. Figured instead of counting and focusing on just the pounds we could take a look at our sizes as a way to encourage each other and motivate ourselves and others. I am a bit over three and a half months out and feeling great! Pant Size Day of Sleeve: 40 and 42 Current Size Pants: 30 Shirt Size Day of Surgery: xxl Current Shirt Size: Small
  8. I just joined Vent Fitness in Lathem, figured 9.99 a month, worse case scenerio I just don't use it like I should lol. The Y, even being on disability I found to be a bit high, although I LOVE the whole pool factor about the Y. Thanks for the compliments :-)
  9. I'm almost four months out, swear by coco butter.
  10. Pic update :-) Also, no longer have sleep apnea :-)
  11. I'm always around BrickHouse, always :-) I never see anyone posting anymore bit I check several times a day :-) How are you feeling? How's everything going!?!
  12. Do not use peri colace as your body can begin to rely on it. I am a little over three and a half months out and use Equate (walmart) brand stool softener capsules. It's what my program recommends and it works wonders
  13. Stalls happen. Personally I would not recommend taking in more calories unless discussed with your doctor or nut. Also, you may want to try equate brand (walmart) stool softener capsules. That's what my program recommends. Sorry I can't really give to much advice, I try not to when it comes to these kinds of things because I don't want to push someone away from what their doctor is having them do. Best of luck to you :-)
  14. I don't really think it has to do with the meds at all. It seems with the surgery the surgery and I have done all the work. Your stomach is so small afterwards I don't really feel like the meds effects it. I am three and a half months out and down over 90 pounds :-) It was well worth it.
  15. Sleeved three and a half months ago on October 7, 2013, down 91 pounds :-)
  16. Soon enough, soon enough! It's such an amazing transformation you will feel. I have never ever thought or dreamed I would fit into a size 29 men's jeans! Well I am now! Best of luck to you and please keep us updated on your progress!
  17. Kick A$$ start!!!!!!!! :-)
  18. Yea I was expecting to have to do them for a while from the way 'crushing meds' was mentioned so much in my bariatric support groups I went to. When I got home I would take ONE pill at a time. Take one, wait 5-10 mins and take another. Best of luck to you with this amazing journey! I am three and a half months out and down 91 pounds! Your going to do great and feel like you've never felt before soon enough!!
  19. My friend had hers a year and a half ago and when I saw her results after a few months I started the thinking process. I debated with it for about 8 months and then started the process myself. Three and a half months out and down 91 pounds since surgery date, no regrets what so ever!
  20. Ummm two words... HELL YEA!!!! :-) lol
  21. Congrats! I am three and a half months post op and remember my diet like no tomorrow! It was a challenge but I did what I had to do to make it yummy! 18 days out I would have a tiny bit of scrambled eggs with a dab of salsa, or some corned beef and hash, or some spicy tuna which comes in a small can, they have a lot of different kinds of tuna which are yum, with my protein shake I mixed in two tablespoons of peanut butter and throw it in the blender, which I fell in love with and still do! I am three and a half months out and down 91 pounds! Keep up the good work! Keep us updated
  22. Mine were crushed while I was in hospital, not all just some. I was able to not crush them anymore once I was released from hospital and got home. I was released from hospital four days after surgery, so that's when I my meds were no longer being crushed. Hoped this helped
  23. Hi Brant! Your are doing great! Keep up the great work! I chose the sleeve as well and was sleeved in October as well, October 7th. Three and a half months out and I am down 91 pounds. So were are Sleeve Buddies Keep up the great work!!!
  24. This is NORMAL! Don't get discouraged. You have swelling that you are carrying and this can for some people be for a couple weeks. When I was a week out I was still a few pounds heavier then when I went in. Now I am three and a half months out and down 91 pounds! Don't stress it!! Just relax, get your rest, fluids and water down and enjoy the journey :-)
