  1. Hello! I was sleeved less then three months ago, October 7th 2013. I had the same problem as well with needing to constantly eat and I was never full. I was also a non stop total pig when it came night time...all I would do was eat eat eat. Now, almost three months out I am below doctors goal weight and don't eat constantly, actually I eat twice a day, very very small portions and FEEL full. I also don't snack at night, I don't feel the need, no feeling of hunger. I never really felt the full feeling until I was sleeved, it's amazing. I wish you the best of luck!! Hope this helped! :-)
  2. Sleeved October 7th of this year. I am almost three months out and BELOW doctors goal weight! First picture is day of surgery and the second one is from Christmas.
  3. I have officially reached BELOW doctors goal weight! Yippie!! Hope everyone is doing well! :-)
  4. Was sleeved a little over two and a half months ago, and have now reached doctors goal weight, am now 5'8 and under 176. As expected I've noticed my legs are skinny, but thighs are flabby. Just looking for some advice on any exercises as well as some tricks to hide it so I'm a little less self conscious about it. Thanks :-)
  5. Well from someone, speaking of myself who has had dvt and a pulmonary embolism, and a stroke, and had the sleeve following these, I would recommend looking into it a bit more instead of just going with the can't have surgery ever or unless it's for an emergency phase. My programs rules are one year. Wish you the best of luck.
  6. Aunt Vick~ Sent you my new number a few days ago. Click on my picture and then hit SEND PM and send me your number. I hate this new layout ugh
  7. Kk Auntie Vick, look forward to a call from you tomorrow :-) Sleep right Auntie Vick and everyone else!
  8. Auntie Vick, throw me a text
  9. This new site sucks. Auntie Vick, text me tomorrow :-)
  10. Oh yes!!! Soon enough!!! :-)
  11. No we have not. Auntie Vick isn't on all the time so I think she may have texted my other number and not of got my new number I sent to her in a message in time :-( When she gets on she will see it. Hoping she doesn't think I was ignoring her, Auntie Vick is a total sweet heart :-)
  12. I would recommend going back to the hospital if you are in such extreme pain. Discomfort and mild pain is normal, but it seems you are having pains that are not just mild or discomfort.
  13. I cannot consume it for once year. My program actually requires all sleeve and bypass patients to sign a contract stating you won't consume for one year. Every program is different though
  14. Benjiboi ~ Thanks a lot for the compliments! I've really just stuck with everything the doctor has said, we'll besides when I snuck in that Almond Joy lol. It was a miniature one, I swear!!! I walk an hour a day and use the exercise bike at home one to three times a day for 15 mins at a time. I just got a membership for the YMCA here in Albany, New York and I'm going to go there because they have a pool and that's really the best excercise and way to tone. I lost 52 so far after surgery and 20 before surgery. I also only drink Vi protein powder with milk, Vi is AMAZING!!! I swear by it and it's great! You yourself are doing great! Everyone's different. I will recommend the Vi protein powder. I just started the walking a full hour a day and exercise bike this past week.
  15. Swanson makes a good broth that is spicy, it's now. It's called Mexican and it's in the carton. I am almost six weeks post op and I used that prior to surgery as well as post op. It was much tastier then the regular broth. Hope that helped :-) Keep us updated
  16. Love this question!! I had the sleeve almost six weeks ago and am down 52 pounds. My list would include.... *Being able to use the latter to set up Christmas decorations outside, which I now can as I am under the limit. *Zip lining, always sounded soooo fun and I look forward to doing it soon!!! *Ne able to go out and not be the one that needs to keep eating and eating and looking like a pig! *Not live my life constantly worried about obesity and death *Go on a roller coaster *Feel satisfied about what I look like and not avoid the mirrors around my house or anywhere
  17. Varies on your program, how your doing and your doctors. My program it was six weeks, and they had me start meat at five. I will be six weeks out on this upcoming Monday. I have handled the meat perfectly fine. I'm down 52 pounds right now :-) Keep up the great work!!!!
  18. How are you doing? Are you home yet? Hoping things are well, please update us when you can.
  19. The Psych evaluation can be done by your current therapist, your own, or one that the doctor recommends. I looked around and found one that was covered by my insurance. It's required by the program and the insurance, but only one is needed. Hope this helped.
  20. Welcome to Onderland!!!!!! Yay for you!!! Congrats!!!!!
  21. Sleeve Siren ~ Yay!!! They saved me!!! So glad your taste budds 'allowed' you to have them now :-) :-)
  22. First picture is day of surgery and second two are from within the past two days. Five weeks out and already in 'Onederland' and down 52 pounds!
  23. What if? What if? What if? What if you could prevent a heart attack, would you? What if you could walk without feeling out of breath? What if you could look in the mirror sand say "damn, I look good"? What if you could stand on the scale and smile instead of pout? What if you could lower your blood pressure and cholesterol? What if you could enjoy a meal, and not over eat and still feel totally satisfied? What if??? I'm almost six weeks out from surgery and down 52 pounds. I was sleeved October 7th, 2013. I am now off of three blood pressure meds, two cholesterol meds, a diaretic, and a seizure med. I eat still, and enjoy eating my meals still, and enjoy it even more knowing I can still eat and have no desire to over eat. All these thoughts you have before surgery are normal, but don't second guess yourself, even though that is normal. You are about to become a new person. I don't mind looking in the mirror now, I actually love it lol. For the first time in YEARS I am in 'Onederland', which is being in the 100's. Stay positive and for the pre ops keep us updated! Wishing you all a speedy recovery (which it will be :-) )!!!!
  24. Was sleeved almost six weeks ago on October 7th, 2013. Had a very smooth recovery and am down just over 50 pounds and feeling AMAZING!! Think positive and know that it is understandable to get very anxious and second guess, but don't! It's an amazing experience, and life changing and the results and feeling soon after are amazing! Please keep us updated
  25. Sleeve Siren ~ How about sugar free Popsicles? I ground it as a great way to add to my liquids and to get the full linguists in. Now I can do without them, but they really saved me in the beginning. Hope this helped :-)
