Surgery date 8/15 HW and weight on day of surgery 239.6 Current weight 216.8 My doctor does not do any pre op diet. Lost 22.8 so far

Erika - I did not use insurance. My surgery was self payed so the process moved very quickly. Just did my pre ops and surgery. Recovery was fairly easy. Just be prepared to be very tired for a week and also weak for a few weeks. Keep in mind you will be on a liquid diet so that is tough. I did go back to work 4 days post op but I was exhausted and really pushed myself. A week at home would have been much smarter. I did Have my boyfriend with me to help me. But you really don't need much the first few days. Just sleep and some jello or water. Best of luck and let me know if you have any other questions.

I had surgery on Thursday and have had the worst headaches. I can't knock them. I think it's just a result of no caffeine and no food. Hoping to end this lethargy and headaches when I get to phase 2 on Monday.

Well written and it will be interesting to see if you stir up the pot for meaningful conversation. I am scheduled for surgery in 2 wks and am excited and nervous. I have several friends that are a fews years out and they look great. I can't wait to see what comments or criticisms you get. Much more interesting reading than what to bring to the hospital !

Getting sleeved 8/15 in Miami. Very excited yet nervous. I started a journal and plan on documenting this metamorphosis of body and mind. Bucket list of food I want to eat and just going with it. One day at a time ...!

Looking into my options of doing theVSG here in Miami or taking a leap of faith and going to Mexico. I am paying out of pocket so need any and all advice.
