How did it go? How long did it take to get approved til the actual surgery date?

I actually didn't have it yet, scheduled for may 21st. and unfortunately my insurance doesn't cover it do to a exclusion by the company I work for, so self-pay. I started this process April 3rd, so everything has moved very quickly for me. What about you? Do you have a date yet?

No. I actual have Medicaid working through approval process. Last step is to be cleared by my primary who hasn't cleared me yet because my hemoglobin is 10.4. How does self pay work? Do they have plans?

Oops sorry it went up to 10.6 but needs to be at 12.

Oh ok, well hope your level gets up to 12 soon! They have names of companies and banks that will work with you to provide loans. Really wish that my insurance would cover it though!

I'm in miami.... Started researching in dec last year... Started the process in January just had my cardiologist appointment today stress test tomorrow.... And surgery date June 5!!! I'm having it done at Jackson south with Dr. Moses Jacob's.... And can't wait I'm so excited and ready for this! It's jumping through a lot of hoops to get to the end result but I'm sure from what I read on this site it is so worth it! Love reading everyone's story!!

I'm in Miami too, going through the preop stuff with Moises Jacobs, MD. Insurance is covering it, woohoo!

I was told I need a stress test and cardio next. What exactly do these test entail. Can you have them performed in one day?
