  1. I was sleeved on the 11th also and was just wondering what everyone else had lost. I've also lost 10 lbs in 6 days!!! That's just crazy! That's a total of 58 since January.

I was sleeved on the 10th and down 14 pounds. No complications on my end either. I thought something was wrong because I feel normal. I guess lots of us June Sleevers scored;)

  2. I also bought a few cases of Priemer and started with the chocolate...they are indeed pretty good. I did the whey Protein self made shakes during my pre op diet and got burnt out on those really quick. Today on the other hand I had the vanilla and it was horrible...I'm stuck with the case unless I can take it back to costco and have them switch the flavor for me;) I heard the Chike Protein Drink are fabulous...they come in coffee flavor. Best of luck to all

  3. Hello all June sleevers!!! I'm so excited about our New journey and even more excited about finding this site & such supportive awesome people!!!

    About myself.....

I'm a born and raised here in Sunny San Diego. Yes...more then half my life I lived in a bathing suit! **I was a Lifeguard**

Im 35 years young, A wife and mother of 4 fabulous kids. My youngest is a VERY energetic 3yr old boy.. Did I mention that he was 11 pounds 23 inch!!

I'm proud to say I'm a Longshoreman. Union Strong! My job away from home is very taxing.. Very physical.. Very exhausting... Lots of fumes, outdoor dirt and elements damaging to the skin...But I love my job:)

The reason I decided to make this change in life for myself and my family is back in 2/2009 I was hit by a co worker operating a forklift. I suffered several injuries. Seven months into my recovery I found out I was pregnant with my son. Between the injury and pregnancy I gained 60 ponds. After giving birth I underwent shoulder surgery due to the accident, and I was placed on a very stationary lifestyle. I finally recovered and returned to work with only about 15 pounds gone and quickly realized I needed to get back to my weight prior to the injury... After trying EVERYTHING under the sun besides simply not eating...I decided to look into lap band.. Well something about putting a foreign body into me didn't feel right so I looked into the sleeve! Now one week post op I'm super excited and glad that I made this decision! I'm feeling great and have a great support system here at home and now online. I look forward to getting back into the pool and teaching my little ones how to swim:)

Positive thoughts, Hugs, and Best wishes to ALL on our new journey<3

  4. I'm losing my summer body. No more boobs or bootie to fill in my swimsuit. Look like a fat flattie.

My coworker had her surgery about 4 months ago and went from about a size 18 to what looks like a size 8. She also lost all her curves but pulls it together great. She has had reconstructive surgery before her sleeve from previous weight loss (lap band) but as far as her lady lovely lumps...well there gone with the rest of her weight, and when you as her how she feels about it....she says "they aren't something she can't buy back"

  5. I had my surgery June 10th. So' date=' I guess I'm 5 days post op. I have not had as easy a go at it as it seems others have had. Got to hospital that morning terrified, cried when my husband said goodbye and they wheeled me back. Waking up in recovery, I remember crying out in pain, then I blacked out again. The biggest incision is the only one that hurts and it HURTS. Surgery was around 7am. My 1st walk was around 4 or 5, I don't even think I woke up till noon. I had a morphine pump I could push a button when needed. I pushed the button about 4 times total while in hospital. I literally could not wake up. I kept passing out, couldn't shake the anesthesia. Monday night my blood pressure was high and I kept a temp of 99.5. I also had a few times where i remember dry heaving. I would have waves of nausea, but none since being released. Doc came in Tuesday morning, saw I had a small blister on one of my small incisions, still red but a teensy bit better. Since being released, the big incision is still painful and I still need some help picking something off the floor or getting up from laying position. I've also developed rashes and itch like crazy!! Going to see my surgeon this afternoon. My last antibiotic before leaving hospital was levaquin. Some people think that may have caused rashes and itching or it could be from morphine or blood thinners. Who knows, but it's driving me crazy. I'm only getting about 30-40 oz of liquid in. Gas SUCKED for several days, gas x strips do help. Today is better from gas though. I haven't felt hunger and have to force myself to drink. Hospital stay, I probably didn't need to pack anything other than a robe. I am ready to fast forward a couple weeks. I had severe buyers remorse, still do a little but I know it's got to get better and this too shall pass.[/quote']

Sounds horrible:( I was also sleeved on the 10th. I didn't have any serious complication but I too slept for several hours after surgery. I didn't wake up until 8 or 9 pm. I had a fabulous team at Marina Del Rey hospital. I wasn't in any pain. I have to say that since I've been home I have some mild to strange pulling pain in the belly area. Which also happens to be the site of my biggest incisions. So getting out of bed is difficult for me. I feel like I have to hold my tummy and stand up straight slowly. It's getting better as the days pass. I know our pain and suffering has its rewards so I keep my eye on the prize and hope for it to come sooner then later.

    Good luck on your journey:)

  6. I saw a couple people wrote they had shrimp as cheats' date=' but they were on my soft foods list. Nut said they were good puréed too, but everything sounds gross puréed.

I had filet mignon week 1 soft foods at a banquet. I chewed really well and it went down fine. It was a long night and I forgot to bring something else with me to eat.[/quote']

Was that on your 1 week post op? I've been worried all night because of the small bite of spaghetti.

  7. A couple of shrimp and three bites of pizza are meal sized portions for us this soon after being operated on.

I'm really concerned after reading some post. I haven't had any appetite but while making dinner tonight, regular routine of mine is to take a small bite to check taste and temperature for my 3 year old son. With out realizing what I did, I took a small bite of his spaghetti before giving it to him. I realized what I did only after the strange feeling I got while it passed through my espouse. I've only had liquids since Tuesday, surgery was Monday the tenth. So far I haven't felt any different then I've been feeling since I came home from the hospital. Hopefully I haven't screwed anything up unintentionally. ;/

  8. Got sleeved on Monday the 10th. Slept most of that day and didn't even get out of bed. Walked quite a bit on Tuesday and Wednesday before I was released to go home. Have really struggled getting in liquids or food...mainly due to the nausea. Nothing has come back up' date=' but it sure don't like going down. All in all I'm very happy and am already trying harder on the food and liquids today :)[/quote']

What foods have you tried to eat

  9. Really nervous....fighting the hunger pains was hard. I actually broke down and took a bite of my fabulous homemade Mac & cheese, chewed and sucked the flavor out, then spit it in a napkin:/ I have to say, that was the best flavor ever and it did satisfy the craving but I feel guilty now...I hope my cheating love affair with food doesn't complicate my surgery tomorrow... Now I'm really freaking out!!!! I've seen that some people didn't do the pre op diet. I did but had a few bites here and there...nothing more then a bite or two. I actually lost nine pounds like many others during this hard two weeks..
