  1. Good for you!!! I think you took the right step in getting this done. Let us know what you fine out tomorrow. The email sounded great and truthful. All you are asking is to be treated fairly. That is what we all want.
  2. I have had my CPAP for seven days. I HATE IT! I don't feel that I get enough air when I use it. It's required I use it for two weeks before surgery and take it to the hospital. Did I mention, I HATE IT???
  3. I may have just over looked them then. Thank you! I will try again. Good luck to you!!!!
  4. Where do you get the strips? I've looked everywhere and can't find them.
  5. Where are you from? I'm cash pay in Oklahoma and my cost is 16500!! Ouch!!
  6. Wow!!!!!! I would be so pi$$ed!!!! Is the other lady cash pay? If not, I think I would be checking with the insurance and finding a new DR. That is ridiculous!!!!
  7. Ugh, I would keep calling and calling. Eventually the coordinator will do her job correctly. I hope! Good luck to you !!!!
  8. Girl, I would be super mad!!!!! They have messed up one too many times. What star are you in?
  9. I had a major problem with one of the doctors that I had to see. His office would not return my calls, they were rude, and extra slow! I ended up talking to the man in charge of the whole bariatric program. Needless to say, he got the ball rolling faster!!! Good luck!!!
  10. Thank you so very much!!!! I just keep telling myself that I'm almost there!
  11. I'm so glad I have found this site. It has helped me so much and I've gained a lot of information. I have ONE test left until my surgery date is set. The test is an EGD, has anyone had it? I'm a little nervous about it. The plan is for an AUGUST surgery. I can't believe it is almost here. I am cash pay, my insurance would not pay a penny. All I want is that final date!!!!!!
  12. Did any of my fellow Okies have surgery in Owasso by chance?
  13. Girl, I can relate! With my doctor, I feel that there was no clear plan set up. I was told surgery would be in July now they tell me August. It's been like pulling teeth for all my doctors to work together. I've been put through the mill with all the testing and still have two tests that need to be scheduled. I totally understand your frustration!!! I am a teacher and August is not good for me. I was hoping to get used to my new stomach for a few weeks. Ugh!!!!
  14. It's so exciting, huh? I have two weeks of a C-PAP machine and a EGD test.....THEN......surgery will be scheduled!
  15. I just talked to Dr. Kirk. He took care of everything! I guess there are a lot of patients that are disgusted with Sr. Worley.
  16. I'm terrified to tell anyone other than family. I am a teacher at a very small school. News travels FAST in small towns. I believe my surgery will be the first of August right before school starts. I do not want to be judged. I've been judged my whole life about my size.
  17. Thank you for sharing your story. I'm not sure what your disability is, but I have severe rheumatoid arthritis and lupus. Some days I can not even move or lift an arm because of the pain. I am pre-op right now and can't wait for surgery. Anyway, my rheumatologist suggested I do arthritis water aerobics. I plan on starting them next week. Just a thought for you. Stay string and never give up!
