I got my approval today. Just have to have an EKG and blood work then I can schedule my surgery.

It's so exciting, huh? I have two weeks of a C-PAP machine and a EGD test.....THEN......surgery will be scheduled!

I definately feel for you. I had anxiety over the idea of having an EDG. It does not sound fun at all. I was pretty lucky in my doctor did not feel the need to have me do any extra tests or studies. Just had to do the insurance required doctor supervised diet (insurance excepted my 5 years of failed Weight Watchers for this requirement) and mental health assessment. Then my doctor's requirement for everyone is the dietition consult, exercise consult, EKG and blood work.

Omg, I have been through more tests than I even knew was possible. I am a cash pay and have spend close to 15000 just on the testing! I dread the EDG but I will do it if I have to. I'm just ready to have a surgery date!
