Anyone else on August 8th? One month from today....whooohooo:)

I ask my Coordinator at the hospital that I'm having my procedure done at (before i found out about insurance) and she said that the cost at our facility was about $20,000!

Surgery is August 8th for me! Some NSV I'm looking forward to in the future..... Being able to cross my legs again, and sit like a lady!! Have my husband put his arms around me and not feel awful about him feeling all my fat rolls! Going to my daughters practices and not being the largest person there!! Having my daughters hug me and being able to for their arms around mommy! Being able to buy clothes in the regular size dept! (I love Targets cute clothes, and I look forward to the day I don't have to shop in their 4'x4' plus size section) I could go on and on........ Have a wonderful day! Kim

I was wondering if I could get some ideas of what everyone ate in the puréed stage of the diet! My WLS requires 4 weeks of the puréed stage!! Surgery is only a little over a month away, just trying to get prepared....thanks!!! Kim

I just called the hospital and got my date, it is August 8th!! I go for pre-op on the 25th!!! Why am I so nervous?!? I almost felt sick when I accepted the date!! I know that sounds crazy...but this is MAJOR!! It's what I've been working toward since January, so why am I freaking out!!! Kim

Getting ready to call the surgeons office and pay my co-pay, but when I dial the number and give them my card number....it's on!! I know it sounds crazy, but I have butterflies (in my soon-to-be much smaller stomach) I'm nervous, anxious it's silly....but this is huge!!!

I just found out that I was APPROVED!! Doing the happy dance!! My first seminar was January 8th and almost 6 months later, it was worth the wait!! Waiting for my surgery date now!!! IT'S A GREAT DAY!! Kim

I called the insurance company on Friday and they said that my paperwork was with the review committee! I hope I will get an answer this week!!! Reading all these success stories makes me want to join you even more!!! There are some AMAZING before/after pics up here!! I've also mentally prepared myself and the BIGGEST BIGGY and probably one of the hardest thing was giving up my diet mt. dew, minor for some, major for me!! I went for the final appt. with my surgeon for all info to be submitted to ins company! In the beginning I was VERY INTERESTED in the sleeve procedure, them I really looked I to GB RNY, and I thought that was the way to go, hut T my appt. I've decided on VSG!!! I hope I've made the right decision! I'm so nervous!! One of the things I liked better a out the VSG is that you don't have the malabsorption part! We still have to take Vitamin d, multi-vitamin and calcium though!! What are your thoughts....everything I've posted and read has been on RNY! Pls tell me success stories, why you chose sleeve over GB etc...thanks in advance Kim
