  1. I really need some help from women who have gone down the route of having plastic surgery post weight loss. Specifically breast surgery. I'm trying to decide between and uplift and implants or implants only. I have gotten some conflicting information from 2 great doctors so don't know what to choose. Has anyone here opted to only have implants and if so were you happy with the results or did you find your breasts drooped more after?? I really want to avoid the scarring and loss of functionality associated with an uplift. I am 27 and see as something I could do down the line. Advise from anyone who has had any sort of breast augmentation would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Hey! How u all doing?? Hope everyone's pain is easing. What kind if food are people managing at the moment??
  3. How does everyone feel today?? I'm just on the way back from hospital now. Feeling good but have a lot of pain around the stitches. Hope you're feeling positive and well x
  4. Hey! Any one else having their sleeve done around this time? Or any words of wisdom? Does anyone have any advise for me? Current weight 237lbs. I have set a goal of 185 by Christmas. Is this realistic? Thanks! So excited!! Xxx

    hello

Thanks you so much for taking the time to give me such a detailed response. Really appreciate all the advise. It's great to read of someone who is in Ireland, makes its seem more real rather than just reading info that relates to how it's done in the US. I assumed based on what I read here that I would be on a liquid diet for a few weeks after too. I will do what ever I'm advised by my surgeon anyway. I think gradual and steady weight loss is what I want rather then a complete shock to the system!! Just have to wait to be scheduled in now. Hopefully it's sooner rather than later! Keep me posted on your progress and good luck

    hello

That's great! How are you getting on so far? I'm should have my surgery by August. Can I ask how long you were in hospital for/how long did you take off work afterwards? I will be seeing colm o'boyle in Bon secures cork. Can I ask who did your surgery? Must be fantastic to have it done, now the fun part- loosing weight!!!

    Where Is Everyone From?

Ireland. Any other Irish on here??
  9. Wow! Brilliant! I can't wait to see 199..... Only one surgery and 68lbs between me and that number!
  10. I wish I was brave enough to go down the open and honest route. Just feeling ashamed and embarrassed at the moment. Maybe when my confidence is back i won't mind telling people the truth. I also worry that work would have a problem with me taking sick leave for something that I guess is elective altho I know long term it's better for your health. The job is going so well I don't wana mess it up! Thank you all so much for your advise ????????????
  11. I have told all my friends and family that I care about that I'm having the sleeve done in August but when it comes to work it's a different story. I reckon I'm going to need 2 weeks off for the procedure in total for which i will have a medical cert but I work in the kind of office where everybody will be asking where I've been and how I'm feeling. Don't get me wrong, it's lovely that people will wana know im ok but I'm really not comfortable telling people I've under gone something so radical. I'm from Ireland and its not common to do this here at all. I know honestly is the best policy but its such a huge thing to undertake that the last thing I want is everyone asking a million questions. SO.... Has anybody else here explained the sick leave from work by saying they had some other stomach related surgery other than WLS which can also explain the subsequent weight loss. Would really really appreciate advice on this as I'm getting really anxious about what I'm going to tell everyone. Thanks xxx

Try not focus on how big u got but rather think about where ur gona end up and how well your doing getting there. I know myself it's hard to believe I'm the size I am. But i try remind myself it's just a number right now and soon to change! X
