  1. Walking, walking in your footies and robe is the trick, I had very little gas and it was only first night. Good luck and congradulations.
  2. Totally easy, the absolute best surgery and recovery I've ever had and I have had alot.
  3. I was exhuasted for about 1 week then slowly could do more and more. After I ate was the worse but it didn't last long. You just had Major surgery. You will be running around before you know it, now sometimes I totally forget I had surgery. Best of luck to you.
  4. Lipsticklady I totally agree with you, even with my bacon... and I also dont indulge all those fat free food because of the chemical and I also wonder about the Crystal light I drink I'm gonna look further into that. I have a hard time getting to my 800 calories daily and 80grm of protein. I think I doing great today I walk 1mile on the treadmill which is a milestone for me.
  5. BCBS the whole process took me 9weeks untll all requirement met then 1hour approval. Schedule depend on surgeon but mine was 2 weeks
  6. Bacon, bacon, bacon is a must have although I can now only eat half of a slice it makes me happy, happy, happy!!!

  9. Same here absolutely no problems not even gas, no nausea, up chucking or intolerance. Seven weeks out down 40 pounds just trying to increase protein Sometimes I forget I had major surgery.
  10. thanks for showing your plate, perfect timing for me. I've been talking all day about not eating enough protein although I try to get it all in. I'm 7wks out and still struggle with 80 grams I love veggies and miss them trying to get in the protein. When I log my daily intake I'm in such a deficient it worrysome. I enjoy my new found energy and I'm working out more than before which makes the protein issue worse. I hope to figure this out soon.
  11. Woo-hoo, congrats you will do great!

  13. You look fantastic, keep up the good work.
  14. I fully understand, I'm 7 weeks post op and feel that only 40lbs isn't enough...my sister told me to go and try to pick up 40lbs and see how I feel about the weight. i think that because we have lost and gained so much weight over the years, we have a problem believing that this is for real... Embrace every pound and know that we have done the very best thing for our health and this isn't the same as before.
  15. Two weeks out your body is still saying WTF, just be patient as I am and it will catch up to all the love you are now showing it.
  16. WooHoo to you, I know you feel fantastic.
  17. Not sure about that comment about another doctor...you've had your surgery. Your comments were fantastic and dead on. Congrats
  18. I was constantly hungry until I devided my meals into six small meals.
  19. Congratulations, let the losing begin I was sleeved on Aug 26 and it was the easiest surgery I've had. Do what you're doctor says and you will recover well. Post here, for help with so many things. I bought sugar free syrups to make my shakes. Someone on thus site had posted about them and they are great. Davinci, is one brand. Sometimes I feel so good I forget I had major surgery. Happy to say after a stall at 3 weeks I m losing again down 37pounds.
  20. Congratulations, you will be fine and so happy after.
  21. its not unreal its some of our reality
  22. I really needed too read this thread' so disappointing was my Dr second revisit with the scale down half a pound. I was sleeved 8/26 and lost 16 1/2 lbs since surgery total of 33. When I suggested a platu he said it was unlikely at this stage, maybe I should have said stall? Anyway left there so depressed knowing I walked my first mile two days ago and was so proud.
