mnardi123 got a reaction from Katie Struthers in For those with BMI 36 or lower, how much did you lose your first month pre-op
I had surgery on May 31st needing to lose 65lbs total and lost 10lbs the first week. Since then I've lost 5.5 lbs but The hardest thing is not weighing myself every day and staying positive.

Sugar Free Chocolate pudding with a tsp of natural peanut butter; but string cheese and laughing cow cheeses with fruit are my go to snack

mnardi123 got a reaction from Cheer Mama in Week 3-No Desire to eat.
I'm 3 weeks Post-op and just started on full liquids, Soup, yogurt and farina. I've had the same 4 oz of yogurt sitting on my desk since 9:30 and it's 11:15 now and I still have a quarter of it left. It's not like I'm not craving food, I had a dream of dipping french fries into over easy eggs 2'x since surgery. However, when it comes to eating my limited choices, I have no desire, I'd rather drink Isopure and Water all day and I'm so tired from only eating 600 calories a day. Anyone else feeling the same way?

During the first six months post-op, when I was in my losing stage, I went up and down, up and down. I'd go up a pound or two, then back down. I'd do this anywhere from three to ten days and then it would be gone for good, on to the next couple of pounds. I have discovered that many others have this pattern as well. I was very strict with what I ate, I never had one bite of anything sweet or fried, very little bread, a pinch or two when we were out, that's it....nothing until I reached goal. Don't worry, if you are following your doctor's plan, you'll lose, and slow and steady is the best. Hang in there and enjoy!!

I was dropping a pound a day, then I hit a plateau. I've been stuck now for about a week. From what I've been reading our bodies go into this starvation mode and try to hold onto everything. When it happens to you, just try to be patient. That's what I'm trying to do
