  3. Thank you all so much for your kind words! I am so blessed and pleased to say, I feel so much better today! I have still a lot of congestion but it seems I made it to the stage where it's being released so that's a good sign. My fever is down and I was able to have a nice and long night of sleep last night. Thanks again and thank you for checking up on me !!!
  4. I have been so sick the last three days. It's seems like a classic case of the flu but I have never had it this bad! My stomach is upset at anything I try to eat, fever of 100+, cough like my insides are coming out, along with a runny nose and extremely sore throat. I talked to my surgeon and she said to give it one more day and if I'm not better, I should see my PCP. I have been feeling great up till now but this case of the flu? Is just killing me! Anyone experience anything like this post-op? I am taking EmergenC and Multivitamins and Soups and tea and lemon as well as trying to stay hydrated and DayQuil or NyQuil as I can handle it. Sometimes it's too much on my stomach, so my doc gave me the ok to use the hydrocodine to suppress my symptoms and allow me some rest, which has worked the best for me so far. Any similar experiences and the results would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Orange Crush Crystal Light is great for that craving!
  7. No I actually meant ur very rude responses and supreme ego... There's a psychological explanation for ur personality. As for the actual poster, should u choose to do as is recommended, great! If not, a few Cheerios, believe it or not will not kill u. As my surgeon said to me during my first week, if ur being careful and adding little tiny pieces to any liquid, u will be okay.
  8. I know it's not recommended but I would have just a few of the Cheerios. I went through this as well. Had a tiny bite of what I wanted and after I did, I was fine! Didn't want more, it relieved my need for wanting to feel like chewing something. Good luck!

LizC, I am freaking out! I can't even express how much I LOVE Water and although I'm pretty much drinking all day, I still don't feel satisfied as if I actually drank water! I asked my surgeon in my 1 week post op and I think he saw the desperation on my face or something bc he somehow grinned and said that should get better soon.... I CAN'T WAIT!!!! thank God for hope!

    Swimming Post-Op

Yes! I would love to hear from those that went swimming before three weeks post-op and what happened???
  11. How long did u wait post-op to swim in a pool??
  12. That's awesome! I know we are all different... I tried sucking it up and just drinking them, but realized that I'm only drinking one a day bc of how slow I tend to drink it. I have no problem with light soups (chicken broth) and LOVE my crystal lights and all the different favors. I'm going to try to get the non-flavored Protein powder and mix it up with other lighter soups and see if this does the trick. I'm also going to try to negotiate with my surgeon on other possible options . Lol
