  1. Here's my dilemma: I am my sister's Maid Of Honor and I planned her bachelorette party- which is a weekend away on the East end of Long Island's Wine country. I will be one month post op at the time of the trip. I would hate to go on a vine tour and not be able to at least SIP a tiny bit of wine at the tastings. Unless its harmful to me. Any advice?

  2. So glad I read this. I am in week 2 post-op and have hit a small stall. Lost 1 or 2 pounds a day the first week and then suddenly it is by the ounces...not gaining but staying steady. I feel I am not getting in enough calories but I am literally not hungry at all and find I struggle between what's more important Water in or Protein in.

Hi! Yes, I went through the same thing... And I am still going through it. I am three weeks out and still in a stall. I was told that it is very normal in the beginning to stall early on as your body is still healing. It is more important to get in your Protein at this point. I still struggle to get in enough Water but My Nutritionist said to make sure to get in my protein above anything else... Then water. I'm currently only getting in 30-35 ounces of water, but I'm trying! Good luck! :)

  3. Don't get discouraged! I can't believe you're working out already...Took me 2 weeks' date=' and then I worked out too hard and kept getting dizzy from not enough calories going in.

My nutritionist and exercise physiologist said getting the Protein and Water goals was more important than the gym. If you don't have time to do that, than you're exercising too much... Just another thought.

If you're not getting the Water in, how much are you getting (how close?)?

Everyone's different, and it will take time. I think 2 weeks is a bit early to be freaking out!

Thank you! I'm not really hitting the gym too hard. I just walk on the treadmill for 45 minutes 3 days a week which was encouraged by my dr. I only seem to be taking in 20-30 ounces of water a day. I'm trying to increase it but between waiting 30 mins before and after you eat is proving difficult to increase my water. I know it's early to freak out but I'm just worried I won't lose after all I've been through. I keep trying to tell myself to wait and it'll happen. Thanks again!

  4. I am a week and a day today' date=' down 15 we must be at the Same pace. How do you feel? I have to be on clear liquids another week...ughhh..[/quote']

I feel great. No complaints. I like seeing the scale move down everyday- so that helps too! I was moved to stage 2 on Tuesday but haven't eaten much but Protein shakes, broth and greek yogurt. The clear liquids stage is tough! I can't believe you have to do it another week.... But hang in there! It's all worth it. Keep up the great work!

  5. Sleeved on July 26th. 3 days post op. each day its getting easier. Gas pains are subsiding and I'm gaining some energy back. Was able to have a Protein Shake for Breakfast and 4oz of broth with 8oz of Isopure for lunch! I'm losing about 2lbs a day since surgery! I'm sure that'll slow down but I'm hoping the steady weight loss continues! Tuesday I go for my follow up visit- I hope I can move on to stage 2 by then. :) best of luck fellow sleevers!
