What can I do to help you. I know this type of change is scary. I did not have surgery in Mexico. I had mine in a small town in Louisiana. I had to stay at a hotel for 3 days after. I will pray for you and if you have any questions or concerns message me.

I take two out at time. I start eating one it takes about 3-5 minutes and then I start on the second one.

Me too I can only eat the sf pop sickles. The chicken broth made me want to vomit. Drinking Water is very hard. I am eating 2 pop sickles an hour just to keep hydrated.

I am sorry things were ruff for you. I hope it gets much better really soon. I will keep you in my prayers. Hugs headed your way.

I changed my ticker. I started my journey at 289, back in April. But when I had surgery, on Monday, I was 275. I did not want to count the weight I lost prior to surgery on my ticker. I want the ticker to be only from my surgery. I want to see how much the surgery has helped me loose. I do acknowledge that I lost 14 pounds before surgery, but not counting on the ticker.

I hope everyone has speedy recovery. All I did yestrday after my surgery was sleep. I got up to go the bathroom and then back to bed. I did vomit up some bright blood but it was ok, per MD. I had the dry heaves and that is gone. I feel like I just did abunch of sit ups and really no other pain.. I am waking round the room but that is it I am eatting ice and drinking sip of water,

I know it is rough. I think of what my mom said when things were hard when I was younger. Things easily gotten are not worth having. It is so true for me. Everything I have done in my life has been hard and I love that I have them. A quick fix of food will only add to your post op problems. Can you call someone who has been in your shoes. Pregnancy and delivery are great example of things that are truly hard but so worth it. You got this. I also pray about it. I am always asking for strength to get through life. I hope this helps you. If I were there I would give you a big hug and make you laugh. I know that you are strong! Your son/daughter is in the navy and that is rough not knowing where they are and when they are coming home

So today I found out that the hospital I work at, now has the sleeve covered under the insurance. It is 5000. I am paying 9800. I almost stopped the process and delay my surgery. I was going to go through my company's incsurace. That would delay my surgery for 3-6 months. I know that my mind was made up in April and I wanted to go with the original plan. My knees and ankle need that 3-6 months of weight loss to help them to heal. I felt a little guilty for finding this out this late in the game and I wanted to discuss it with my husband. I told my husband about it and to my surprise he said "have your surgery on Monday ". I was so happy we were on the same page. We usually are and that is why we have been together for 26 years. Married 23. He sees me hurting and not being able to do the things I used to do. I can't chase after the grand girls or even get on the floor and play with them. Before I could drop it like its hot now I drop it pretty fast but getting ups is slow, very slow. I can't wait to be able to dance again. I miss going to the gym and working our for hours. I miss going up 10 flights of stairs. I miss my old life. I hope to be up and running soon.

Good luck! I start my liquid diet on Sunday and I have a wedding shower to attend. I know that is so girly but I get what your saying. All my friends family has been cooking for this and freezing food. I will stay away and drink my crystal light and chicken broth. YUM. Zac Brown band is great. Enjoy. I cant wait till next years Country fest in LSU stadium. I have not gone because I did not want before but next year is a new year with a new me.

Guy's I am so proud of all of you for doing this. I know it will be hard but you can do it if you make up your mind to do it. I am at total peace with my decision. I prayed about it and I am not worried at all. If I loose only 75 that is way more than I could loose on my own. I am expecting great things from this transformation. I want to run again and do exercise with out massive pain. I know that being positive is our key to success. I will pray for all of you to do well with surgery and recovery. There is a power to over come any struggle we face. Have faith. You got this!

I did not get one either. I am self pay and I guess that is not something my DR does. My son and his wife did not do one either. They are doing great. She had hers two years ago and my son did his in March.

Well I finally decided to get the gastric sleeve. Funny story about why I call myself Medium sized. About 2 years ago I went out to eat at a local mexican place. We had a very young attractive waiter. The ladies thougth he was cute and some of them smiled at him the whole time. The waiter and I got along well and I did not flirt like the others. Some of the ladies were very forward with the guy. I explained that Spanish guys like big girls and they would be sorry because he liked me. They all laughed and went overboard with the flirting. At the end of the meal the waiter left the check with me and said the mints are in the sleeve and my friends thought he said that I was Medium sized. We laughed so hard we were crying. Needless to say our table closed the place down. Then when we left we stayed outside and talked for a while. The waiter was leaving at that time and came up to me and kissed me on the cheeck. I was cracking up and said ladies I told you he liked big girls. They all laughed and still I have that nick name. So may be soon I will be able to really be Medium sized. It has been a while since that was true.
