    Phoenix and Valley sleevers......

Couldn't add you without being your friend, so here's the link. https://www.facebook.com/groups/WestCoast.WLS.Support.Group/

Are any of you on Facebook? I created a page for westcoast wls people, since I get on here infrequently since the new change. I am in a few groups on fb for support but there seems to be a lot of drama so I wanted to create my own group. Originally I wanted it strictly for AZ people but I didn't know a lot of AZ people so expanded it to include the west coast, so that we can find locally people in our area and meet people going through the same things we are, I'm looking for new friends who've had WLS and who can identify with my journey, since a lot of my non wls friends either don't know, or don't understand what I'm going through. I'd like to get a workout buddy too, to help encourage each other to reach our goals and figured there might be others out there looking to do the same. If your interested let me know, I'd be happy to send an invite!

    Just Checking In

Thanks! I know me, I would be obsessed with the scale in my house, I will probably buy one once I've lost at least a 100lbs, that's my personal goal. After that then I'll cave and buy a scale. Lol until then nope.

    Just Checking In

Thank you! I can't see it but my.clothes feel loose! Yes, he wants me to get more in, at the very least 800. With me eating 4-6 meals a day, I'm still drinking a protein shake a day. And trying to get my calories up, it's just harder now.
  12. So life has been pretty interesting, I'm losing weight but, no longer crave food lie I used to. I'm not getting enough food in, or calories, I do drink a lot of water, and still supplement a protein shake a day, almost 3 months out, last check in was Oct. 30, at that time I'd lost 55+lbs. I don't weigh myself at home refuse to own a scale at this point, would like to get down to at least at least 100lb lost before I buy a scale. But sometimes the suspense does kill me, I would not be good having a scale in the house because I'd weigh myself everyday, which is why I've set restrictions on that. My last Dr appt he wanted me.to increase my meals to 4 to 6 a day because of my calorie intake ranges around 450 a day, on a good day. I struggle because eating is more like a chore now, and bothersome to me. I don't forget to drink, but I do forget to eat sometimes. Life has been crazy, my car was stolen, insurance is dragging it out and making me feel like it's my fault, in more debt because I had to buy a new car, and probably will have a small Christmas for my kids if I can manage it. Just been a horrible time, but I'm still working on me and will succeed.
  13. I am not sure about anyone else but buying my Protein shakes and drinks, Vitamins, supplements and other things, have been kinda expensive. I have been buying samples from bjbariatrics.com. But I wanted to find a better deal with more to offer, I searched the web and found another website BariatricChoice.com that carried a ton of different protein options, bariatric foods for Breakfast, lunch, dinner, Snacks, vitamins, supplements and my favorite protein Syntrax nectar, I signed up and got $20 off my first order! I did get a referral code to share, basically you get $20 off your first order of $40 or more, and I get $20 for the referral.. kinda a win, win. It's not a scam, or spam. Feel free to check the website out and see for yourself their referral program and discounts they offer. Www.bariatricchoice.com I thought I would share if anyone who wanted to get a discount towards their protein needs. https://www.bariatricchoice.com/rewardsref/index/refer/id/109518/ or you can use my personal referral code: 8432886
  14. So, I had my 2 month check up 2 and a half weeks ago, I have lost over 59lbs, and although my Dr. is pleased. I'm struggling to hit goals, like eating 3 meals a day is netting me less than 400 calories a day, Protein I try to get as much as I can, generally the minimum, but some days I can get in more, Water too, I constantly feel like I'm drinking, drinking, drinking. My Dr. Told me I need to have 4-6 small meals a day and if anyone gave me and issues to tell them to call him. So since then I've tried to eat more, but I just feel bad, I don't want to get into the habit of eating so many meals but I know I need it. (Even though before surgery, I only ate 1x a day, which put me in starvation mode) I exercise, but not nearly as much as I want simply because I've had a rough couple of months, personally, emotionally and mentally. And usually in the past I'd eat to comfort myself, but I don't even want to eat most times. I've completely switched and don't want to comfort myself with my old vices. I am happy with my weight loss but I don't see it, except when I wear certain clothes, they are practically falling off. But I still feel like that fat girl I was before surgery. I never anticipated the mental and emotional part of the surgery. I knew about the lifestyle changes that I'd have to make and I have, since being cleared I have only had bread once and took 2 bites of it..Which I am scared of lol. I've had Pasta, but usually only a few bites. I'm ok with the bariatric pasta, WonderSlim is pretty good, I can't eat a full serving, except on one occasion but it was all kinds of bad because I was trying to get in my calories but I figured I'd just not push it. It's crazy some days I can eat ok and others I'm pushing myself to eat the minimum. I'm grateful for my sleeve and know that I'll do good with it, I just need to get my needs in and try to get more exercise in. Personally I hope by my 6 month check up I would like to be down 100lbs, and I'm well on my way. Anyways, thought I'd share and check in!
