  1. So did anyone cheat on there pre-op liquid diet ?? I start on June 10 surgery June 21 I'm excited but I'm nervous about doing the liquids :(

I Have to do the liquid diet for 14 days.. I am on day 9 and have lost 14 pounds so far... I have tasted a piece or two of chicken breast that was grilled... But that was it.. It took until day eight for it to get easy... But hang in there it will be okay

  2. Just got back from my PAT and the technicians and nurses said that everything was perfect and beautiful. Signed a couple of papers they took some blood, did an EKG, and chest x-ray. And I love that I lost 14 pounds in nine days... Five more days to go so hopefully I can reach my 20 20 pound personal goal my surgeon only wanted me to lose 10... June 11 I cannot wait to see you :)

  3. My song would be Alycia Keys- Brand New Me

    Brand New Me"

It's been a while I'm not who I was before

You look surprised Your words don't burn me anymore

Been meanin' to tell ya But I guess it's clear to see

Don't be mad It's just a brand new kinda me

Can't be bad I found a brand new kinda free

    Careful with your ego

He's the one that we should blame

Had to grab my heart back God knows something had to change

I thought that you'd be happy I found the one thing I need

Why you mad? It's just a brand new kinda me

"Never bad I found a brand new kinda free. Ooh..."

****** It took a long' date=' long road to get here

It took a brave, brave girl to try

It took one too many excuses, one too many lies

Don't be surprised, don't be surprised********

If I talk a little louder, If I speak up when you're wrong

If I walk a little taller I've been under you too long

If you notice that I'm different, Don't take it personally

Don't be mad It's just a brand new kinda me

"That ain't bad I found a brand new kinda free."

Ooh, it took a long, long road to get here

It took a brave, brave girl to try

I've taken one too many excuses, one too many lies

Don't be surprised, oh, said, you look surprised

Hey, if you were a friend

You'd wanna get to know me again

If you were worth while You'd be happy to see me smile

I'm not expecting sorry I'm too busy finding myself I got this I found me, I found me, yeah

    I don't need your opinion

I'm not waiting for your "OK"

I'll never be perfect, But at least now I'm brave

I know my heart is open I can finally breathe

Don't be mad It's just a brand new kinda free

That ain't bad I found a brand new kinda me

Don't be mad [one version:'] It's a brand new time for me

IT'S JUST A BRAND NEW TIME FOR ME...

This is my sleeve journey song too :)

  4. Wow 116 lbs that's fantastic I wish I did this long ago but it is what it is:) 20 days to go I just don't want to fail :( I'm reading how you can stretch the sleeve out and gain weight back that scares me . I do have a positive outlook on this but I guess it's because I've failed at all my diets. I just don't want to ever get to that place of needing to eat so much to feel full . Thank you for your response it helped . Do you have any before and after pics ? I'm so happy for you !!

I totally Agree with what you were saying. I can't wait before from a smaller amount it does it dictates a lot of food to fill me up

  5. Good luck to all the June sleevers! Hope all is well with you all and keep us posted on your progress. 9 days till my surgery. I am so excited. I cannot wait to here about the new adventure we are embarking on. I will pray for all of you to do well and to heal quickly.

Me too... June 11th sooo excited!!! Good luck and well wishes and healing to June sleevers!

  6. I did a similar program with my primary care Dr. and I lost 60 pounds in a relatively short amount of time I would say seven months... And I kept it off for several months but the weight slowly creeped back on.., I am scheduled to be sleeved On June 11th... So I agree with the other people that you can lose weight on a particular program but it's the transition into normal life that is hard to keep the weight off... Having a smaller stomach will limit the amount you eat... which makes maintaining the weight easier... I also think that you know when it's your time to go through with WLS.. For me I was ecstatic when I lost the weight but miserable when the lbs came back on.. Also the hormone gherlin is reduced significantly with the surgery so hunger will also be less... Some Even say they are never hungry after having the sleeve... Which will be a blessing for me :) Good luck in your decision making process
