  1. TXTinana mine wasn't due for another 2 1/2 weeks but it started today. At least I am going home today ????
  2. Hi everyone. I'm still in the hospital and will be discharged tomorrow. Looking back at some of posts when I first got here....I can't believe the misspellings, etc! I blame it on the drugs I was given ???? The plan is to make sure I can tolerate taking medication orally rather than by IV. I feel so much better now. Although I wish I could go #2 (sorry if TMI). I'm not in pain with constipation but I would like to go. I am not weighing myself yet. I'm going to weigh myself when I see the surgical team for my first post-op appt on 9/3
  3. Kozujosie I have been walking up a storm. I think they have it figured out ... It's the narcotics that are making me so nauseous. I'm off all narcotics by mouth. I have a fentanyl patch (3 day extended relief) Pam, taking anti nausea mess. And using antiinflammatories for pain. Feeling better I just hope and pray I don't go back!
  4. Hi guys. I am still in the hospital and have to stay another night. I've got wicked nausea and I've been dry heaving. I have eaten hardly anything since getting sleeved on 8/17 and I am very week. Haven't had the dry heaves since noon but the nausea and pain between my shoulder blades is back. I just want it to go away.
  5. Thanks everyone. My surgeon called and I'm going to the ER to be admitted again. I'm scared this won't ever go away.
  6. Thanks. Zofran is what they gave me. If it's no better by 10 I have to go to the ER
  7. Sleeved 8/17at 7AM. Pain between shoulder blades - been pacing the house all night I cannot get comfortable. Also dry heaves til 4AM and now just nausea, waiting for the in call surgeon to call me back. So sick
  8. I'm home. Thank goodness. The only incision that hurts is the one in my belly button and it's exactly where underwear or pants hit. Figures!!!! I'm not going to complain every day it will get better.
  9. Hi Ylluz. Sounds like you are doing better today. Walking will help. I am hoping to go home today.
  10. Hello everyone. Ylluz so sorry you got your period. That really sucks. Everyone else looks to be doing ok. Yesterday was a tough one for me. Nausea and dry heaves all day til about 6. Feeling much better today. Got almost no sleep last night because of my roommate but I'll be out today and I can rest when I get home. Having very little pain and I was able to get breakfast down slowly. It was 2oz plain yogurt and a 4oz protein shake. Now I'm sipping water. Don't forget tosipsip sip!
  11. Almost ready to head out to the hospital. I have everything I need. Can't believe how slowly and yet how quickly this day has come! I really can't believe it's here. I feel really calm and happy. Best of luck to all the 8/17 sleevers!
  12. Good luck! My surgery is at 7AM too!
  13. shellyd67...good idea! I'm hopeful to play an update by tomorrow evening. Have to wait for someone to bring me iPad. It's getting so close!
  14. shellyd67 best of luck tomorrow...I'm having surgery too at 7am! I am so ready.
  15. You you can do it. One more day...!
  16. This time tomorrow I'll be on the way to the OR!
  17. My surgery is Monday 8/17. HW 295, CW 255. Still 5'10"????. This thread is encouraging to see what size I might get down to at my goal weight. Started out at a very tight 22W, still wearing them but they are very loose. I can fit into a regular size 20 now.
  18. TXTinana - I'm bringing my cell phone, IPAD, chargers, lip balm, brush, pony tail ties, face wipes (the cosmetic kind a pillow, and one of my softest throw blankets. Oh and my toothbrush! I don't think I'm going to need much else, I'm only there one night and whatever toiletries I do forget the hospital should have. Margie
  19. Aduruz - I'm also having surgery on 8/17 While there are foods I may "miss" like bread, Pasta, rice, etc. the fear of not being here on this earth to enjoy any food at all is what drives me. I do not want to imagine a future where I am constantly uncomfortable walking, buying clothes, getting out of breath, feeling fatigued, etc. I want to ENJOY life more...get outside, walk, hike, and maybe even RUN! I don't want aching joints, knees, or feet to keep me from living. Best of luck on 8/17! Margie
  20. Well guys the date is fast approaching! It's my last day at work, trying to get everything ready while I'm out. I'm not worried - I work in a great office and I have several people who will be watching my desk while I'm out. This weekend I'm stocking up some things to have food wise when I get home on Tuesday....greek yogurt, Jello, SF popsicles, and broth! BEST OF LUCK TO EVERYONE!
  21. Just got back from kickboxing class. Luckily I can put it on hold until after I'm cleared by the surgeon. There are still things I can't do at this weight. I can't do all the running and I can't do push ups. But on the slip side I CAN do lots of things like punching, arm work with weights, squats, so I guess it's all relative. I definitely work up a sweat that's for sure. I was a little worried about money this week after getting a couple of higher than normal bills but I knew I would work it out. I opened my mail from my mortgage company ( I pay online and usually don't open the statements...bad I know ) and found a $420 escrow reimbursement! Yay me. Maybe this is a prelude of good fortune to come? My surgery is in 5 days, 9 hours and 23 minutes but who's counting? ????
  22. You look great! I am also 5'10" and will be sleeved on 8/17. Looking at your pics was great motivation and you look beautiful in your wedding dress.
  23. I had UHC up until three years ago. They dicked me around on everything. I thought the customer service was non-existent. I'm thrilled to have a new plan that doesn't suck. Best of luck to you.
  24. Ylluz - from Amazon.com I am a prime member, so shipping is always free. I got like 20 of them for $10.00 I splurged on the demitasse spoons/forks - they are super cute, for a set of 4 for each I spent $20 I didn't want to buy the plastic throw away cups with lids, it just seems so wasteful and bad for the environment. Not knocking anyone who buys them though, just hope they recycle!
