  1. The NUT at my center (which is a center of excellence) has been great. He is young but he knows his stuff. He is available via email and always gets back to me. He has been a a huge support to me. He also runs the monthly support group. I am lucky to have such a great asset.
  2. 214.6 this morning on 10/26. Had a rough week and weekend - I let some carbs sneak back into my life and it was not a good thing! Back on track this week!!! Thanks.
  3. If you call the bariatric program at St. Elizabeth's in Brighton they can probably fax you the list of psych doctors they have. I have it somewhere and if you like you could message me and I'll get you the list. Let me know
  4. Congratulations what a great accomplishment!
  5. Hello everyone ???? 215.2 today thanks!!!
  6. I agree they are disgusting and I hate them too (but I take them!) I'll be cleared for regular Vitamin pills at my 3month visit in November. WOO HOO!
  7. Hi to everyone in this over 65 thread. I am on this for my mom who just turned 66. She has a BMI of 36/37 and high BP, high cholesterol and probable sleep apnea. I have sleep apnea and she snores louder than I do. I had my sleeve on 8/17 and she is just starting her journey. She has Medicare and Federal BCBS. We live near Boston. Is Medicare a pain to get the sleeve approved? She is going to an accredited program at a local hospital. Any advice or wisdom is appreciated! Thanks in advance ... Margie
  8. I figured skin tightening products were a figment of my imagination. I will just need to make sure I moisturize well. ????
  9. Have you found anything AT ALL that tightens skin (face/neck) even a little? I will check out this cream..sounds good.
  10. Search 3 week stall. If you are weighing yourself daily- STOP. It's normal.
  11. I made this to remember how far I've come on this journey. It's been fun crossing out the pounds!
  12. HW 295 SW on 8/17/2015 = 256 CW 223 Pretty sure I remembered surgery weight correctly.
  13. You can order it on Amazon.com too
  14. Avafern.....why did you put your fat clothes in storage? Get rid of them! You are paying good money to store painful reminders of who you were???? I too am scared of regain but I am going to do whatever I can to not make it happen.
  15. Run. Get out of this relationship now. He does not love you he loves alcohol. You can't change him. You said yourself he is narcissistic and you find him boring. What happens if he really did hurt you? Please get out now. Alcoholics are very good at playing the guilt game and they are fantastic liars. They only care about themselves when they want to drink and use the "woe is me" to get people to stay. Don't fall for it. Cut him loose from your life. No calls, no texts, etc.
  16. Sweettea I'm sorry you are having a hard time with your knee. TKR is no joke. My mom had it done and she really had to push herself in PT. She had a job where she was very active and walked all day and then got hurt at work. She's gained about 50lbs and she is very unhappy about it. She has seen my success and is contemplating getting the sleeve herself. She would be a lower BMI but has high BP, high cholesterol and probable sleep apnea. Best of luck with your knee. Be vigilant with the carbs!
  17. Congratulations you look amazing and I bet you feel that way too ☺️
  18. I know this doesn't answer your soup question but I think 41lbs in 10 weeks is fantastic! You should be proud. Also - WHY are you only eating 500 calories a day? Does your NUT want you on a diet that low in calories? That could be why you are losing/gaining.....I would check with your NUT. 500 sounds too low at 10 weeks out to me - but that's just my humble opinion.
  19. Elode I guess I have a good nose then. I've always been able to smell things others haven't, and they aren't always nice smells! Considering I take public transportation some days I wish I could turn my nose off.
  20. The chewable Vitamins I take make my pee look like "highlighter yellow". It's crazy. I know it's the vitamins because I stopped taking them and then started again and sure enough....that same electric yellow highlighter color. It's weird. I wonder if you ate asparagus if your pee would SUPER smell?
  21. Seahawkgirl - I drank 3-4 cups of coffee every day. I gave it up a few months pre-surgery and I could probably have it now, but I like it with full fat cream and sugar, so I'm going to pass. Because it is getting cold here (I live in Boston - no hating!) I wanted to be able to drink something hot....I missed it....so I started drinking decaf tea with a little milk. It satisfies my need to drink something hot, etc. I totally understand why you would want to drink coffee though....I ADORE the smell....but I don't adore the extra calories!
