  1. Greats pics. Keep up the good work. You are an inspiration.
  2. I hope the rest of your journey will be likewise pleasant.
  3. Welcome onboard.
  4. Great to hear. It´s always inspirational to hear when things work out the way they should. I´m only 6 days post op and I am so looking forward to start loosing.
  5. One thing that I think is important to bring up is relaxation. If you are tense and anxtious your stomach won´t heal as fast. Everyone knows that the first organ to react to stress is your stomach. If you go back to work too soon you might risk your healing by stressing.
  6. I was sleeved on Tuesday and I was prepared for anything and everything. I honestly have to say "It´s a walk in the park". I had a little discomfort day one but apart from having a big, gasi stomach I feel great. The nurses said it must be due to my attitude and I´m 53, not a spring chicken. I wish you the best of luck and whatever discomfort you may feel, it´s temporary.

Thanks for the inspiration and good luck with the rest of your life journey.
  8. If you can do a liquid diet with hunger in your stomach, think how nice it will be to do it post op without the hunger? I am 6 days post op and we had a bbq last night, I enjoyed waching my family eat good while I hade a small bowl of delicious tomato soup. Life is good!
  9. Wow, what a difference a month make!
  10. Do what you do now, log on here!
  11. But then again, if you think about it, most of us have bodies that are used to poor diets and junk food. I think it will work out either way with protein or no protein the first two weeks. My body has gone much longer with no nutrians, just junk.
  12. It´s a little anoying that doctors don´t give out the same advice? It is so important to follow doctor´s orders and that makes it even more important that what they say is true? I am 5 days post op and my NUT said protein drinks are ok as soon as you can.
  13. Great to hear. So I will just plan to go on a feeding frenzy at night in my dreams? Anyone want to join?
  14. I am 5 days post op and I am so exited about this. I have had very little pain and nausea, I feel great. I am so afraid I am going to forget that I´m sleeved and just by habit stuff my mouth with junk. I dreamed I had a bag of cheese doodlez and I woke up all scared. What will prevent me from putting junk in my mouth just as a pass a piece of food or snack? Have any of you forgot about the sleeve and made a mistake?
  15. I am only 4 days post-op and I am so happy for having done this. I see it as a start on a very long journey to helth. I seriously don´t see weight loss as priority one. I see my health restored. If I loose weight in the process, great. So it´s a win win however you see it.
  16. I was also sleeved on Tuesday. I keep waitning for the pain and nausea to kick in but nothing? I take my pills and I sip my drinks and that´s it. I FEEL GREAT! Is this normal? I am 53 so I´m not a young girl and I was up long before the younger women in the clinic were. Can I expect this to last?
  17. I was sleeved on Tuesday and I had tomatosoup day 2 in the clinic. I had a small bowl at lunch which I couldn´t finnish even though it tasted good. I tried it again at dinner and I finnished it. Maybe we have different rules for drinking. I live in Stockholm, Sweden but I know the surgeons here use the exact same method when performing a gastric sleeve.
  18. I was sleeved 2 days ago and I too feel awesome. No nausea, no pain, I feel discomfort in my chest area but that´s nothing to what I expected to feel. Now the journey has began and I´m thrilled to be onboard.
  19. Can´t wait ´til I walk into a store and I hear "Maybe if you try the childrens department" instead of the plus size! That won´t happend, but stil....
  20. Wow, it must feel great to be an "after" picture. I am still a "before".
  21. I am getting my sleeve on Tuesday and I am so worried. What if the surgeon makes a mistake or what if he´s having a bad day? All this is out of my control. Anyone else with feelings like this?
  22. Let´s put it this way. It´s a good lesson to learn if anyone is thinking about what would happen if you do eat what you can´t have!
  23. Im so happy to hear that you feel fine. I will get sleeved on Tuesday, I am so nervous.
  24. I am also may 21. Good luck to us both
