Hey Guys
Good morning all!, Im so glad i refound this thread as i have named 2016 the year of my restart. Im almost at year 3 and have lost a little over 100 lbs. So far i uave only regained 10 of that but I lost it last year so now im struggling to keep a good maintenance plan. I need the accountability that as a food addict i cant give myself. Kinda like a fox guarding the chicken coop! LoL My goal is to lose the next 15 lbs before my 3 yr mark. Daunting yes as my weight loss is now about my choices rather than the surgery...... Thanks for letting me ramble, youll be seeing me post again and if i can help anyone just let me know.

June Gastric Sleevers Out there
It's hard trying not to compare your journey to others. Some people reach goal in a blink and some takes a while. Just remember it's YOUR journey!! At the end of the day you have to be your own best cheerleader, reach and pat yourself on the back and say how much you love yourself. You took the step to make a change and you change....stronger faster healthier!!

June Gastric Sleevers Out there
Hi y'all I was sleeved 6/14/13 Let me assure you that the stalls you all are hitting are very normal and to be expected your body has been thru some stuff and it's trying to regroup. Be patient!! Follow your doctors guidelines and get in the protein and water. Get as much exercise as you can it will help your body and also help your skin not sag as much later as you lose more weight. Also Don't Weigh Everyday!! It will drive you cray cray!! So far I've lost 80 and I'm trying to figure out plastics next!! Blessings to all and stay focused!!

Super Nurses With Sleeves (Support Group)
You can always try using the free syrups to flavor the shakes.

African American Sleevers
Agree with the Premier Protein. Vanilla is good cause you can use different SF Flavors do change it up. GNC go lean is good also.

African American Sleevers
Isopure is a harsh drink but if I put lots of ice I can get it in. I stopped with the Isopure as soon as I was cleared to go to purée/ soft foods. It was a great option when I first got home from the hospital. I love the premier shakes. I get vanilla because I can flavor it anyway I want. I also like the GNC Go lean shakes. Very tasty.

African American Sleevers
The first couple of weeks are hard to stay hydrated and get in protein. Have you tried Isopure?? 42gm of protein per bottle. Just sip on it all day. Help meet protein and fluid needs. Also try Syntrxx Nectar unflavored. It can go into any liquid and you really can't taste it at all. It's 10gm protein per serving. Set a timer on your phone for every 15 min and stop to sip on a fluid I some kind. Get the little kids medicine cups to measure so you don't feel overwhelmed by drinking from a huge bottle or cup. Remember sip sip sip all day long!! Hope this helps!! I'm one year out and down 80lbs so far.

Im stressed about my 1yr f/u appt
Went to my appt. My doctor told me two things that I'll never forget 1: toss my scale out the window and quit looking at at the numbers!! 2: listen to my body!! Watch my protein/carbs/and water!! He was so happy with my progress and told me if I went to the waiting room and told others my problem about worrying about losing 80lbs in a year they would throw something at my head!! LoL I have done good and I guess I just needed to hear him say it. Thanks for the kind feedback and I'm so glad I have this site to vent to. Night all!!

Im stressed about my 1yr f/u appt
Thanks I just got off the phone with my sister and she have me the same perspective. I know it's a crazy thing to think and I'm a lot better now that I've gotten it off my chest. Thanks for the kind words I guess I just needed a little cyber support!! LoL I'll probably post something tomorrow after the appt. Thanks again!!

Im stressed about my 1yr f/u appt
My one year f/u appt is tomorrow and I'm super stressed. Rationally I know I shouldn't be worried about this at all but I can't help it. I've lost 80lbs from my highest weight and I currently at 140. My family and friends don't get it. They are so happy for me and I'm happy for myself it's just this appt feels so stressful!!! I'm so worried that he is gonna say it's not good enough. Free judging myself for so long and having this year of so much support I'm scared he's gonna think I could have done better. I feel better just putting it out there with you guys. I'm glad this site will allow me to just ramble on.
