What is up these docs and lieing to their patients? I have read that some wont even let the patients know how much fill they r getting or taking out, and some who "pretend to give fills" for the patient to "think" and will themselves to lose weight. Has any one else heard of this?

Yes u will find a lot of people here who have used Dr Kuri. Do a search on his name on this sight to go threw old threads....there will be lots and lots of really good info here for u to sift threw. Also talk to Kathy(the best me), she just had hers done with him like a week or two ago. Hope that helps

OK guys ready for this...Im 4'11 and my "target weight" according to standereds is ..............90-105 lbs.........YAHFREAKIN RIGHT!!!!!!!!!! So dont feel too bad for urselves. If i could get in the 120's I would feel like a model and curvy perfect. Who the hell wants to be Kate Moss? Id prefer a Kate Whinslett..... But Ive got at least 50 pounds just to get to Mrs Whinslett (which to anyone with any height would probably=about 80 pounds)

OMG!! I am a freakin nudest!! Fat or not I luv to b nakid as a j-bird....one of my favorite things to do in highschool was skinny dip with my close friends....so I dont have any ooops stories.....just Yaehhh Im nakkie stories. Is it just me or doesnt it feel good to be "free."

Intresting stuff...seems as though it doesnt have the same weight loss results as the band and also is just a short term tool. Can someone tell me how to turn Kg into Lbs. I would like to see what kind of weight loss results they got and it was with MO patients so Im sure the weight loss would be less with the lower amount of wieght someone has to loss.

wow, i know i saw a thread on here about really high BMI and a good surgen, u should check the old threads and try to find it. I think it was posted like a month ago. Does anyone else remember it? I looked and cant find it. Ill try again, but if someone else remembers and can find it****bump it!

Hi nice to see u here. Its great to hear from someone who is doing so well with their band in such a short time. Gives me hope! U should put a ticker on ur signiture so we can follow ur progress. U will like it here, (these people are crazy at this sight)

flower, from what i always heard she had the lapband done. I heard that a few years ago before i even knew what the lapband.

Hang in there Jen. U knew this would happen, even though Im sure that doesnt make it any easier. I will do much better when u get ur fill, ur almost there! only a few more weeks. Try not to get to discuraged untill then. No way will u be a failure! Especially since u heal so fast and u have a good history of being able to lose weight. I know this band will work for u and me.

yes u can pick on someone without telling them wher to go or use profanity. And Im over it. I dont care what u think, and yes u have an OPINION about lower BMI's but there was no reason to pull MY quote and MY situation and give ur negitive statements directly to ME. But im really over it . yes u r right. Prob a little over defensive today. But I felt like that was a tactless way for them to express their feelings. Could have been put in a different way. I mean really. I have had a hard week with trying to make all the many arangements for my band surgery. And of course the doubts, the fears, the tiredness and readiness to change just like everyone else. That post was NOT what I needed. Thank u for understanding Denise. U put it perfectly. If u read my intro post I wrote when I joined LapBandTalk, it pretty much mirrors what u just wrote about wanting to get a grip on things before I end up like the rest of my family. I want to get a grip on things now while I am young and before I spin out of controll anymore. Thank u for ur post. It really made me feel much better.

FAUXNAIF: Anyone who would come here and attack me that way can go to hell. It is my choice and I think everyone here has had people hurt them because of their wieght. So i guess im not skinny enough for the rest of the world and not heavy enough for u. What a rock and a hard spot hu? Where can I go if I cant come here for support? We are all overweight and have the same pain. Hope it made u feel better to judge me when u have never seen me or met me. I am about to have surgery and I come here for support, if that is all u have to say then keep it to urself Fauxnaif. I would never be so critical of someone. My choice, my body, and this is a support group. Not a you know it all group. By the way, i dont think u post here often do u?
