  2. I think that it is very important when traveling to MX for surgery to not only find a doctor who is qualified but also HONEST. I think honesty shows integrety; and when u r leaving the US and all ur American rights with it, I find it quite relavent.....call me crazy I guess.

What a great point about the band paying for itself. I had never thought of that. We spend a fortune on crap food dont we? This just gave me one more reason to feel good about my choice to self pay in MX

Jenna u crack me up!! I always like that saying too! Think it says it all
  5. My doc said that the surgery actually takes about 45 min although if there are any complications at all like large liver or fat around stomic that it will take little longer.
  6. Lean stew Pick a lean cut of beef, cube it cook it in tomato sauce add greenbeens, corn, potatos, fine cute yellow onion, mushrooms, lots of garlic, bayleaf, seasons such as thime, basil, i like those caper thingies, add lots and lots of veggies carrots whatever goes!! cook it in a crockpot even before u leave for work or cook it on the stove in just 3 hours. the prep only takes like 15 min. It cooks itself and add some wine and a little Water to the tomato sace. I use the italian season Contadina kind and sometimes if it is too thin at the end i add half can of the tomato past. OMG now im hungry mmmmmmmmmmmmm

I think this was a great thread actually now that I can look back on it. I strongly disagree with the way some people came at me, but that really made me realize that some people are a%$holes no matter where ur at, and there are always people who have ur back as well. I went through the user profiles and found a lot of people here who were young with lower BMIs. They had the surgery and they r doing great It is a personal decision, and anyone of us COULD diet and excersise more. But all of us here struggle with obesity and the fact that we gain weight much easier than a "normal" person. I am happy that I have the self confidence to make my own decisions and dont need everyone here to support me in my choices, thats y its my choice! Joe u have ur own choices to make as well....u r very young looking to do this, some people will disagree with that decision, but not me.....I understand and think its a great choice if u research it and weigh out the risks and benifets. Everyone has a right to their oppinions, I just think we should all think about the way we express them when people come to a "support group." Lets b tastful and try to b supportive of one another. No one has walked a mile in anyone elses shoes here and I just dont think people should say things like "thats a wrong choice for u." But of course this is just how I see it and I really dont care any more how other people see it. I am so thankful for this place and I have met some great people here. I know there are people here who wouldnt make the choice Im making, but they still have offered so much support and understanding to me, and of course there are also people here who have had surgery around the same BMI and they tell me it was the best thing they ever did. 99% of the people here have some of the best characters I have ever been blessed with meeting and great wisdom and strength. Thank u all for being my friend, thank u 4 supporting me when I felt alone, thank u all for just being who u r! And everyone lets respect one another!!!((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))) anna
  9. Wow, I just read this thread finally. I had never read it because Im not married and it didnt really have anything to do with my situation. But I just wanted to say how lucky u all r for having such wonderful life partners.....ur all very blessed!

Nope, but I use the Mystic tan once a week and I dont streak at all....Princess, ur suposed to wear those booties on ur feet!!! I love it, and Ive been doing it for almost 2 yrs now. If u buy a big package its really not too expensive. I would suggest buying 2 tans to start (i know its expensive to do it that way but if u dont like it at least u didnt blow 100 bucks on a package.) They should show u a video on how to put on the booties and stand so u dont streak. I also use a bottle of stuff in between tans. Clarion is THE BEST! But it is kinda expensive too and u have to go to the dumb mall to get it...and girls we all know what happens when we go to the mall to get one thing..............."ohhhhh look at those shoes............"

Good Luck With The Liquids!!!!! U Can Do It!!!!!!!!!
  22. Gosh..thats really tuff, Maybe u should talk to the director of your preschool and see if they have any ideas
  23. Wow, I hear the craziest stuff here! It really leaves me speachless....im sure if it were my band now, i would have plenty to say. Under the circumstances I think u r very calm. Good on u Pinni!
  24. OK so I asked Dr Kuri about this procedure and this is the responce I got....Good for two types 1)very high BMI who need to lose before the lapband or Gastric Bypass and 2) for people with BMI under 35. Keep in mind those who do it with the low BMI are at a very high risk for regain as this is only kept in for 6 months and also your stom doesnt shrink cause the balloon is taking up space in there so when its out in order to feel the way u felt with it in u would have to eat a LOT more. He suggests very heavy nutritional classes while u r using it as a tool to initially lose the weight, and then continue with them to try to keep ur behavior modification......what do u all think? Also the procedure costs 2,800
