Mistysj: You stated in your response to her
"You absolutely can't put something in your mouth that is not on your plan, because when it is in there, all bets are off. You need to decide you will never tempt yourself like that, and that you will NEVER put your poor husband in the position where he is doing something for you that will harm you and could put you in the hospital. That poor man must be beside himself. You owe him a big apology.
Put your big girl pants on and learn from this. If you want something salty, have some broth."
Sorry to disagree with you but...
    1. If all of us could "absolutely not put something in your mouth that's not on your plan" none of us would be here and wouldn't have needed surgery.
    2. The statement "and that you will NEVER put your poor husband...." and the statement "you owe him a big apology" make me cringe. This is not being "supportive".
    3. "Put your big girl panties on and learn from this"....what the heck is this? Support? Not in my world...
Your version of support is questionable at best. Look...remember what our mother's told us when we were kids..."if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all". I think you should consider that because to me...you're just mean.

My doctor said sometimes people go through depression after surgery. I would talk to your doctor first (if sleeved locally) and see where to start. It's a good start that you are realizing it!

I would suggest you get some meds to help you through this temporary slump. Your body AND brain have been through a lot.

I had depression after I had a hysterectomy. Both surgeries mess with hormones, granted it is more intense with a hyster. Depression is a chemical imbalance. It isn't just the blues. Get medication before it gets worse. I let it go too long. I was trying to pull myself out of it. There is no reason to suffer. It is common to get depressed after surgery. It is harder to dig out when you go deeper. Nip it in the bud. Sending a prayer up right now for you.

ontoanewlife got a reaction from anniemay in I feel like im eatting toooo much
I have a similiar issue. I know my NUT told us to stick to 3 meals per day but honestly that's impossible.
I'm usually not real hungry in the morning so I drink a Protein Shake and drink some Water. Around noon my hunger picks up and from then on I'm hungry every 2 hours or so. I have learned to not let myself get too hungry or I eat too fast and I end up sick and in pain.
Today for lunch I made a grilled cheese on Omega 3 whole grain bread. I was able to eat 2 small squares but that was my limit. 2 hours later for snack I ate the other 2 squares. It was nice to have a bit of crunch but it was very soft.
I was sleeved May 7 and next Tuesday I start a regular diet. Currently I stick with shakes and soft foods. I also use baby utensils to remind me to eat small bites. When I have used the regular size utensils I end up sick from eating too much to fast.
Its all a learning curve and I'm still learning for sure....

I'm new to this forum but feel that
everyone has to do what they feel is best in their particular circumstances. The rest of us need to respect that.
We are a community here. We need each other. If we didn't we wouldn't be here.
There is plenty of judgement and condemnation that we may have to face in our own personal lives as we are on this journey.
There's a saying I've read on this forum that I think is powerful...
    "Sleeved and Freed".
Today as I read all your posts...
I just want you all to remember that you are "Sleeved and Freed"...
    That's all that matters...

    Drum Roll Please.........
So today "Sleevie Wonder" and I are standing on the top of the "loosers" bench doing the "bougie" dance and super excited and flapping the "bat wings" to announce that the BMI-o-meter just hit a whopping 29.8, meaning that I am no longer an "o-beasty", merely overweight.....WHOHOO. Next stop on the "journey" is "onederland" . My Stalker-"NUT" is soooooo excited!! I will be celebrating tonight with some fine dining of coca cola and pizza, followed by some beers and maybe a few cocktails, and if I am not lying prone in an ER, will top the night off with a bacon cheezeburger! After all, I am not on a diet!!! I am so glad to have joined the "sleeved side " and have this wonderful "magical tool".
    And just in case:
joke - verb: Make jokes; talk humorously or flippantly.
all except for the BMI part!!

I think any sentence that starts with...."My sleeve doesn't like it when I eat.......
That's as bad as people who speak in the third person. "Would you like some Filet Mignon"? "Why of course not "Sleevy" only likes her caviar darling"

I so totally get this, believe me I do as I have been there and feel sometimes I am still there. The good thing is tomorrow is a "Do Over"
I found this site tonight while I was looking for info about stretching out your sleeve. I just learned a few things tonight that make total sense. When eating certain foods "Sliders" I can eat more of but when I eat healthy Protein I get full faster. Tomorrow is a DO OVER and you will be ok. I am 18 months out and I am down 80 pounds with about that much more to go. I can do this, I will do this, one day at a time!

I am 15 days out and felt the same way . It will get better just keep hydrated try popcicles they were a life saver . I didnt even do sugar free at this point u need all the sugar calories u can keep in . Also chicken broth helped. Im down 23 pounds started puree diet today had a poached egg this am and it was awesome to finally have something other than liquid. I do find myself eating too fast and i feel it in my chest . I have to remind myself to slow down . Just hang in there but if nausea and vomiting persist u may need some IV fluids . Good luck hope u feel better soon .
