  1. as long as you Blend it up real good....you should have not prob.
  2. I agree with chardgrl I am still slightly sore on my right side as well...Each day is better than the day before.
  3. I cant say that I was scared...I have done extremely well on the pureed/mushy food stage. Have not been ill yet....that being said I would be more afraid of going on to real foods 2 weeks from now.
  4. Well...as long as you have followed the guidlines he put forth and your body hasnt responded the way you thought it would you should be fine. Take a deep breath and smile and it will all be fine.
  5. Well...congrats on getting sleeved...and the lesser out of pocket after all the hell of dealing with insurance companies!
  6. you can do childrens tylonal the liquid or the quick dissolve tabs....I have take the quick tabs 1 time
  7. Well you are on pureed foods now correct? If so you can have cottage cheese and there is like 13 grams in a half cup, plus like tonight I took a boneless chicken thigh and pureed it with 1/2 cup of cream of chicken soup and had that with mashed potatoes/cauliflower, everything I eat i check the proteins....like I am sure you do too. I do like premier protein as a shake it is pretty tasty...I get mine from Sams club, but if you go out to their website you can find out who sells it near you.
  8. YES this is normal...I didnt take my meds that often after coming home either....just dont like the idea...but I did take them when I went to sleep at night. I am 17 days post op and it does get better with each day! Yesterday was the 1st day I could bend over and pick something up off the floor. I think you back hurts from straining those muscles trying not to strain your stomach! You will be surprised at how each day gets easier!
  9. I am sorry that you have to deal with this...My late husband was the same way! But he did take his meds but you still have bad episodes. Do what you think is best for you, unfortunaley cant be unhappy forever. I am sure you love him too...but it is hard when harsh words cut so deep.
  10. Well...It sounds to me like you may have already made up your mind to gett rid of your husband. I do know that weight loss does lead to alot of seperations because the one with the weight problem holds to who they have out of fear of being alone and once they are happy with themselves say good by to the hurtful baggage! that being said has your husband been diaganosed with bipolar and is he on meds? Do you believe that he really loves you?
  11. I havent tried any beef since everyone I have talked to has a prob with it. how far out are you? most of the people in the support group that I attend many years out still cant handle red meat.
  12. I have found at Walmart a canned meat, they have turkey, pork, beef, and corned beef hash. I bought it mixed in creamed Soup for gravy and took my portion and pureed it in my blender. The rest of my family ate it over mashed potatoes. Another option that I have tried is the hormel meals that you microwave in 4 mins (in the deli meat section of the grocery store) it already has broth or gravy in it and cheap and quick...cook and pureed...yummy!
  13. I am 2 weeks post op and 1 week into the pureed food stage! I do my best to choose foods high in protein, turkey, pork. and refried beans....You really can learn alot on here and get some much needed support. Keep up the good work and moving forward....Good luck
  14. LOL...I am glad it garage sale season! Can get them cheap cheap cheap! But of course I have put up clothes so the next 3 sizes wont be an issue for me I have plenty of each size!
  15. WOW! Great success story! Makes it so real for us that have just been sleeved! You look amazing!
  16. Yeah! That is great! I too had a milestone today and along the same line as you...I had a pair of jeans that were way to small and put them on today and they are sooo comfortable....Glad to be back in a pair of jeans....So congrats to you, it is a great feeling!
  17. LOVIN IT! Congrats Keep up the hard the work. I hope to be where you are someday.
  18. Last fall I found the cutest dress at a garage sale for 50 cents, I bought it saying it was my goal dress, this was at the 1st stages of planning my VSG! I have it hanging on my bedroom door, was sleeve 2 weeks ago, cant wait to wear it! BTW it is black and white polka dots size med.
  19. I LOVE to read bout everyones successes and you are def a success! congrats!
  20. You can find samples for nectar in many different flavors online...I love the Roadside lemonade it is my favorite
  21. Yeah....Ya because our bodies are consuming to little we tend to use most of what we take in....now realizing that there should be waste it is not nearly what our bodies are used too. But I am always relieved when I go....
  22. I havent used any yet! I like that you posed the question, I want to know too!
  23. Congrats! I am sure you will figure things out! You have learned alot of great habits and will just fine!
  24. I have a hiatal hernia, they found mine when I went to have my pre-op testing...nothing to worry bout, but at least now I know why I had reflux so severely....but nothing since I was sleeved....lovin it! They did NOT fix my hernia btw
  25. Let me tell ya...it is a snap! By the time you get in the surgical suite you are only awake for like 30 secs if that...then you wake up and get sent to your room...I was very sore...cant say pain just very sore...but with each day that diminishes...of course you might be like some of my friends that had ZERO pain or soreness.....believe me I was jealous! But I have to say I wounldnt change a thing!
